It has come to my attention that some of our ASEAN neighbors are voicing discontent over Indonesia's rapid progress in football, particularly regarding our recruitment of European players. Frankly, their criticisms hold no weight. While Indonesia is advancing steadily in the WC qualifiers and securing a commendable position in Group C, these detractors failed to even qualify. Rather than addressing their own shortcomings and seeking ways to improve, they choose to make excuses and downplay Indonesia's achievements. It's time they confront the reality of their own footballing struggles instead of attempting to undermine the success of others.

He's not just talking about the R3 qualification, he's referring to overall progression. Imagine this, when Coach Shin took over the national team, Indonesia was ranked 173 in the world. Now, they're ranked 127. He's absolutely right, this is rapid progress, a significant climb that rarely happens. Plus, let's not forget that Indonesia is the only team to start from R1 and still make it to R3. As for the loss to Japan, let’s be real, the current Japanese national team can dominate any Asian team. Losing to Japan is a calculated loss. Two of Indonesia's draws in this campaign were against Saudi Arabia and Australia, teams that regularly qualify for the World Cup. And let’s not overlook the AFC U-23 achievements. That photo is deceiving, the Indonesian player played the ball prior to contact with the Saudi player, the contact was minimal he did not kick the Saudi player in the head and also he did get a yellow card for it. The Saudis would have done better to adapt to the Indonesian tactics rather than chasing the referee around the pitch waving their imaginary yellow cards every time there was a foul, even their coach did it. It was an enjoyable game to watch though.

If the kung fu kick by Indonesia should be a card then added extra 8 minutes from officially 4 minutes leading to Bahrain scored should be nullified too. Asian football is corrupt from middle east intervention. Especially with middle east refs.

they did give a card, and the kung fu kick you mentioned touches the ball first, not the players' head first. they evaluated that shit through VAR and the referee gave justice. there's no room for Arabic Dive In waiting to get kicked, and Arabic ROTL move hoping to get the opponent a foul.

As an Indonesian, this is by far our biggest achievement in football. Step aside when we're playing in the WC on the colonial era under the name Dutch East Indies. This WCQ is pure chaotic, yet this bring us the unpredictable hope for the loving nation of football. P.S, Bahrain are afraid for playing in Indonesia because of 90+6=99 scandal, they said indonesia wasn't a safe country to play away from, thus, they're crying to beg to the AFC for playing away in a neutral country but FIFA said no or else Bahrain will disqualified in a 0-3 loss against us if they are not willing to play in here. Ask the Aussies and Saudis or even Japan that bodied us 4-0 in home, Indonesia is a safe country when welcoming the guest. (except Malaysia, because you know, it's Malaysia.)

South Korea is in the top three in Asian soccer and still in first place in Group B. However, they have been drawn twice in a row against Palestine, which is ranked 100th in the FIFA rankings, is an autonomous region ravaged by conflict, and half of its members are made up of amateur players. This fact proves that the current position of the Korean national team actually belongs to a rather delicate position. With the current situation in which the teams considered strong in Asia, such as Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, are being threatened by emerging powers, Korea is no exception to the rule.

@joshualiley19 сағат бұрын
Saudi Arabia haven't actually scored for 4 games. Their 2 draws were both 0-0. They can put things down to refereeing decisions, but it's no one else's fault that they can't put the ball in the back of the net. Even if they were given a penalty, they've been awarded 3 this WC cycle and only scored 1, in their very first match of the 1st group against Pakistan with a GK who was just let go from a team in Denmark's 4th division, so it wouldn't have been particularly likely based on that record

Fun fact, Indonesia had a friendly against Argentina where we lost 0-2. So it basically comes full circle where Indonesia > Saudi Arabia > Argentina > Indonesia Also Indonesia should've been on 2nd place if Bahrain's 90+9 goal doesn't happen since it should be +6 injury time (No foul, no incident, nothing, but the ref didn't blow the whistle after 90+7's Indonesia's counter) Also Indonesia becomes this competitive because we're basically Netherland's C Team. Not saying it's bad, but you'd understand how we're suddenly become competitive. Mees Hilgers, Kevin Diks, Marten Paes, Calvin Verdonk, Jay Idzes.
