What have we learned? That first team football matters. That the FM AI cares too much about reputation and CA, not enough about potential and how well a player fits into a particular team style. Still!

actually it cares too much about potential. If Real didn't feel like he could play for them, he would have been loaned or sold and developed better. Instead they kept him around since he could be one for the future and wasn't too far off the CA. Same for the guy from Tuvalu. If it wasn't united going in for him due to his raw potential, he'd get gametime in a lesser league at 20

I doubt any club would be scouting Tuvalu, man. It was a terrible start for the kid. Worse is his club was probably so bad they didn't have enough quality to recognize his potential. We have a lot of that on FM. Wonderkids with gigantic PA but low CA who don't have a chance and turn 21~22 and are basically done. This is why it's very important to develop players the right way, making sure they have playing time either at your first team or someone else's. Otherwise, you might ruin a world beater. I also like to use ALL my scouts to scout 15~18-year-olds. After a few years they rarely escape my grasp.

These player values are insane in FM. Guy sitting on bench in Real is worth 100-145M according to the game. I had to pay almost 100M for Aaron Ramsdale while in real life he moved to Southampton for just 22M. FM is broken with these player values and wages demanded by players. It has to be fixed.

Fyi Real madrid b aka Castilla is a senior team as probably is real madrid c also Bordeaux b is a senior team all three would be playing in various leagues through out their respective countries league systems so playing for either of them should count as first senior appearance
