Thanks to your great review I've just purchased one! Thanks for an informative and helpful review.

I recently talked to a friend at Zebralight, and he told me that water could actually be poured into the battery tube, and it would not reach the electronics. You could dump the water out, put a battery in and off you go. Of course, I haven't tested this out, but I believe him when he says something. You've got great taste in flashlights!

Thanks for pointing that out, never heard of this Zebralight but will check them out.

Thanks, BPF. Definitely brighter than my SC51, but not real obvious due to the smaller hotspot on the SC51.

Great review! I was about to buy the SC51 until I saw the SC52 was in pre-order status and held off to see the initial reviews. Glad to see they've fixed the switch... had read several anecdotes about people getting a "hot pocket." Can you comment on the throw vs. the XP-G in the SC51?

Sometimes I wonder, Do I need another knife or flashlight and I'm like hell yea. I love my new sc52! I've got a charger and14500 coming too. Thanks for the vid.

This particular light was just released, it will become easier to get shortly.
@nutsforknives12 жыл бұрын
It prefers eneloops or li-ion, but will run on regular old alkies as well.

It seems to me that the SC51 is slightly better when it comes to throw. It's hard to say for sure though. The hotspot on the SC51 is smaller, and seems ever so slightly brighter at similar settings.

What does sealing the circuitry from the battery chamber do? Is it just for durability of the flashlight? Is it more resistant to water? Why is this characteristic special? Great job with the review. I own a sc600 too and an sc50+.

Great vid. I own a few lights but know very little about them. I was looking at the olight ld10, this AA light seems to be close in brightness. The 14500 says it can bring it to 500 lumen which is crazy. What brand 14500 batteries and charger do you recommend?

That's a deal breaker!

Thanks for the brilliant video in more than one way. Can you tell me is the SC52 is the smallest of the zebra torches please? Take care. mrbluenun

I got almost identical runtimes between my Duracell pre-charged (rebranded Eneloop) and my Zebralight 14500 on H1 and H2 mode.
@nutsforknives12 жыл бұрын
Hi trekker, correct, I charge both 14500 and eneloop when I test the battery and get just one flash.
@nutsforknives12 жыл бұрын
No AAA from zebralight at this time, however, you can run a AAA battery in this SC52.

thanks for the review iv been waiting for one. so i noticed you have the sc600w, is the tint warmer enough to justify the lose of output? in other words is it worth getting the neutral version when it comes out. i understand its a personal preference but since you have both examples what do you prefer,?

Hi Nutsforknifes!, nice review!! Are almost pulling the plunge for ordering a SC52 or SC52W but don't like greenish tints on XM-L lights like my two Olight Baton S10 and S20 at lower modes. Does your light have a greenish tint?? Would like to hear from you! Regards Paul
@nutsforknives12 жыл бұрын
Correct, but you only get the turbo 500 lumens on 14500.

Wouldnt an Eneloop 2000mah battery give better run times on modes lower than 500L than 14500's? I got my SC52 about 1.5 weeks ago, and all I use are eneloops, even though I have 2-14500's. I just dont need 500L out of a tiny light, and it ramps down after just 1 minute anyway. It does 280L with an Eneloop, which is brighter than the Sunwayman on a CR123! I made the mistake of buying a Spark SL5-210cw, and talk about accidental switch engagement! Been in for switch related warranty for 11 weeks!

I have been an Olight and 4Sevens fan. This review has gotten me REALLY interested in this torch. I checked their website and its listing it as "back order"""availability. Has anyone got a good source for one of these torches? I am keen to break out and try something really different like this. Cheers, H
