Scaling runes are not good in high elo. Especially now when Zed is stronger early, it's better to pick early runes so you can snowball which is 100x better than playing for scaling. Early and midgame will always be more important than late game.

I 100% agree that mythics being removed have made the game way more fun. Builds are much more varied and you can be a lot more creative and adaptive which makes intelligent item building a valuable akill again

s14 is ok. support role is waaaay to inflated which makes the game rly unbalanced. the gold they receive for literally inting and doing nothing is insanely unjustified. riot loves rewarding bad players and encourage braindamaged plays.

first strike is the most “fun” rune but it really is broken. take a normal Rengar or Kha runes: First Strike, Free Boots, and treasure hunter. Already 750 gold from the secondary runes, and First Strike just slowly but surely generates a gold lead… can easily get 1k+ gold generated in a game

maxing w after q isnt good anymore. ALso there are many things you're doing so wrong here. W w then R means you dont have an escape, its an all in combo that you only use if you know for a fact that you kill. But using it on a tank and dying cuz of it is really cringe. Also you miss your fast combo a lot. MIss itemization. And your mentality on this champion is in general just wrong. Merc helps against syndra E and almost the entire kit from naut, not just the passive.

He isn't a Zed main and he's performing in a higher elo than you very probably. Of course there are many things he does wrong. Zed is a onetrick champ. You are not a Zed otp challenger so I bet you do tons of things wrong as well buddy. Seeing you are advocating for him to buy mercs shows you are doing basic stuff wrong.

1 - yea 2nd W max is kinda bad right now 2 - not cringe, just someone who is not used to play zed 3 - missing a fast combo is common, again, he's not otping the champion, and his itemization is fine 4 - tenacity does not counter knock ups, so it only works on naut passive and syndra's E brother, not worth in this game by any chance
