Great work! I have been looking for a way to darken the skin tone of Phicen bodies for so long. Is oil pastels what you would recommend? Does it get absorbed well or stays sticky?
@zedabyu3 жыл бұрын
Oil pastels are amazing. They are basically colored powder and once you rub it on the body, about 80% of it stays on the body. What I like to do is to apply a layer then rinse the body with water, and that will wash off the loose particles. Whatever stays will stay on the body. Then reapply until you get your desired skintone. Of course to be safe, you don't want to keep handling it after it's done.

@@zedabyu that’s a unique technique. I’ve been following you on IG for sometime and am very impressed with your work. Truly spectacular. I’ve wondered about how to find more permanent means of darkening the skin tones on TB League (phicen) figures as well. My problem would be the handling afterwards as I would want to make multiple outfits for the same figure. I would be overly cautious of having any residue running off on the cloth.
@zedabyu3 жыл бұрын
@@Nostalgia_Sells You make outfits? That's something I wanna learn! Well there is a more permanant way to dye a body and that is to boil it in fabric dye, but I haven't tried that. Go to my Tony Stark video and skip to the body painting portion and you will see a forum link. That forum thread talks about different ways to dye a Phicen body, both methods were from there 🤭

Thor's hair turned out awesome! Question what brush are you using when you paint the eyes?
@zedabyu3 жыл бұрын
Ah yes brushes. I'll try talk about them in the future. For eyes, I use "Tamiya Modeling Brush PRO II Pointed Brush". They have different tips, and some recommend the Ultra Fine (87172) version for eyes but I find the Extra Fine (87173) version a lot better as it is thin enough to handle eyes while thick enough to absorb paint so that you won't have to re-dip your brush after every single stroke.

nice work. Is the outfit and armor too tight for the M33 body?
@zedabyu3 жыл бұрын
The armor fits well with M33 but the pants are a bit too tight. As per any outfit, it will require some patience to put onto the silicone body. I did sew the opening of the pants shut to make sure it doesn't give way.

You could probably glue them back along the same seam because there is actually overlapping edges. But for me, since it's all covered up by the cape, I left it unglued. Out of sight, out of mind.
