I remember listening to Porter's one set with The M Machine, and just feeling like he had a nack for building and cutting tension with his mixing. His music is obviously completely different now, but if you go to one of his DJ sets now (whether it be Air to Earth, Virtual Self, No Originals, or self-titled DJ Sets) he can play music from multiple eras and just make it feel contemporary again, which is hard to do!
