Foreigners may not be able to translate our texts so well as in India the different parts of the country follow a different style of translation of the puranas and they will not be able to gather that in a lifetime.

the dates they are quoting at 33:30 may not be accurate. Some of the events describes in these scriptures go back thousands if years.. the document may have been written down only in AD.

Is Mr.Bibek Debroy take the discussions/guidance of the Sanskrit scholars, when "translating" the texts, or he is just doing whatever makes them acceptable, palatable to those who are going to read these? Are they only doing it to do to the Hindu textsjust to make it less uncomfortable for the western scholars? I get the feeling that more people are making it only to please the westerns whoare insisting that THEY are the original intelligent people who TAUGHT the people to "create Hindu texts from the Bible & Islam" That will be really only the twisting & appropriation of the culture & robbing the Hindus of their ownership

i believe these people, especially Debroy , are highly effective compared to traditional scholars. The key here is to engage this westernized audience. They are practitioners of the tradition and therefore are likely to present a correct interpretation compared to western scholars like Wendy Doniger whose main focus is on presenting a distorted adharmic point of view.

I believe that is the way these words are pronounced in Sanskrit. Just like Ram is pronounced as such in Hindi, but in Sanskrit it is Rama; same with Puraan: Puraan in Hindi, Puraana in Sanskrit. Yog in Hindi, Yoga in Sanskrit.....so on and so forth.
