I'm 62 and the Grassroots were big, when I remembered the most, from 70-72. I still listen to them on my music mix.

I saw the Grass Roots in the 70s at an Airman's Club and they were so good! I'd always loved them, so this was a really exciting time for me. Midnight Confessions is a great song!

This video is very interesting. One of the very original Ggrassroots talks about how everything came about. The band was an idea of producer P.F. Sloan, who supported "Let's Live For Today," their first big hit, 29:30 . It didn’t hurt that they were in Los Angeles.

Well, I have been reading the history of the Grass roots. Warren was not the founder according to the Documentary on the Grassroots. Dunhill had a song, Midnite Confession. That Fellow Sloan and Barri are listed as the founders. They are working with Dunhill and needed a group to play the song and 2 others.. He along with Creed were chosen and 2 others were third band chosen to record the songs. He only played with group as they play the songs for the Producers. And Also, the executive working with Dunhill doesn't even mention Warrens name as being anything more than a member in the band. The Creed also left after 2 years. His connection to the Grassroots lasted only 2 years. Anyway, it is all on tape if anyone doubts the info, go look it up. Finally, it is interesting how the first 5 or 6 people interviewed on various shows. All tell different stories.
