Because of "The Birds," Bodega Bay will always hold a special place in my heart (I also took a girlfriend there on a drive north and spent the evening a couple decades ago when I was living in SF)

Thank you for the video. I really like your hair and makeup. The black and white portion makes you look like a Hollywood starlet. Your eyes are so expressive with the lashes. You appear to be having fun and it makes a great connection.

Thanks! It WAS fun to make this so glad it came across :) I rarely use fake eyelashes and glued them on incorrectly (if you look closely the ends kind of extend a bit beyond the corners so they ended up with a wispy look) but the look was so great and over the top I would do it again.

I would love if you could do a deep dive on TALES OF THE CITY. (Or at least, the original season from 1993, and the last one from 2018). San Francisco is a character itself in that series :)

6:18 In Italian, _H_ after a _C_ or _G_ hardens it, not softens it. Therefore, _-chi_ in _Baldocchi_ is pronounced "-kee".

Hi there. We are due to come to San Francisco in April this year. What is it like for tourists at the moment? Should we delay in order to experience the city at its best? Any advice gratefully received.
@ZeeneInRealLife2 жыл бұрын
@kevinriley Hi there! Things had been 95% open until the past week when omicron has caused some restaurants and businesses to temporarily close. I suspect that things will be up and down unpredictably so it will be difficult to time travel. I would come in April and just be flexible :)
@Thascales2 жыл бұрын
@@ZeeneInRealLife thanks that’s really helpful. We were supposed to be last there last year and had to postpone- we don’t want to postpone again but want to experience as much as we can (much of which has been inspired by your videos, so thank you 🙏)

Hello Zeene! I been a subscriber and been following your videos almost since you started the channel. I am from Austin Texas and my wife and I visit SF once a year since 2015. This year I went to sf for my bday in May and we’re going back for thanksgiving. Every time I went to SF we always went to the same restaurants but for thanksgiving i am taking my parents, siblings and nephews. My question is: do you know of any good traditional American breakfast restaurants that are not too expensive as well as traditional Mexican breakfast were I can take my family? Normally when my wife and I go we go the all the known places like: plow, sweet maple etc but I will like to know we’re the locals eat with out breaking the bank. Thank you so much in advance, We really love the channel. BTW, you answer a question I had about my visit in sf back in 2019, in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4WcmIyBr9WVbtk , we followed you’re advised and it worked out great. Thank you.

Hi Maly, I'm so sorry I missed this message -- somehow KZbin blocked this comment and it was sitting in my "spam" box. There are a ton of really great breakfast places depending on the neighborhood. You've hit many of the top breakfast places. For a solid American breakfast (eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast) you can also try St. Francis Fountain in Mission District, Dottie's True Blue Cafe in Mid-Market (although the area is a bit rough and on weekends you are lining up out on the street), Home Plate in the Marina, and Mama's on Washington Square Park in North Beach.
