The guy at GPS pulls guys and can't even pronounce their names properly. Like guys who have played all year on their team. Like if you watch hockey, you know how to pronounce their names. You can see right through it. Feels like a hype man for upper deck and a bit of a vulture at this point. Very disingenuous. Zeree knows and has a real passion for this stuff. Real deal.

@@calixa ​I definitely butcher some names that I shouldn't...not great at pronouncing names in general whether its a player or not. In terms of passion for the hobby I have been collecting since a kid... I can understand everyone has their own opinions but my passion for the hobby has and always will be there. Opening packs and boxes should be about the entertainment and experience first. I try to put out a positive light on products as much as possible while at the same time stating the potential downside at these price points. ​

its so stupid . series two having 12 packs instead of 20 or 24, this used to be a full box of packs. Would always buy my nephews and bunch of single packs but can't do it any more.

I was really impressed with the names you hit. This is probably just a function of how narrow all the endless sub-checklists are. But, unless group breakers exhaust supply, you’d have to think sticker prices will come down in the near-term. Even I couldn’t rationalize it, and I love the design.

As long as the large scale breakers keep buying cases upon cases of product at these prices, costs are never coming down to normal people prices ever again. This Bedard hype could be a bit of a death knell for the hobby. Once it dies down, and it will, will people be willing to spend upwards of $500 for a box of series one? We'll see if the market corrects

Most products are bought enough before they’re even released. Preorders by LCS and Distributors are already bought, even if the public didn’t buy anything for months UD would still get paid and only the small LCS would get shafted

I had been thinking about gettin back into collecting, but after seein some of the prices for hobby boxes, I'm not gonna bother. Seems like the base UD series ( 1, 2 and extended ) is the only half affordable set out there.

For non breakers $1000 Canadian chasing a so so card is absurd when you can probably buy a decently graded yg for probably around the same price. I used to love cracking packs but now with 2 two young sons if I want to be fiscally responsible and still leave them some really good stuff I am going to have to focus on singles as these boxes for the average person are no different than walking into a casino with a $ 1000 Maybe if I had your luck things may have worked out differently lol

Absolutely beautiful cards ! Awesome inserts and great to have Exquisite card in the box. We shouldn’t come to this product for the autograph content. This not what this set is about. It’s all about the amazing design, and this year we get to chase and hunt for a generational player! If people buy this box thinking they need to get their money back just stay away from this set!

500 dollars for a manufactured patch and and off cantered autographed card is absolute larceny. 13-14 the Cup was around 500-600$ when it came out and 10 years down the road the QC has dropped immensely and inflation has taken off

Yeah idk man, my local card shop closed their doors because of the BS from UD over the past couple of years. Everyone i know and myself have left the hobby entirely. In my opinion, Upper Deck has done irreversible damage to the hobby.
