@@Aisha-gd6dq so the thing is it was already 5/(x-3) when we multiply it by (x-3)^2 one of the brackets well cancel the fraction and the other well be multiplied by the 5 and that is how you well get 5(x-3) just like imagine that you multiply by it first by only (x-3) then the fraction well be removed but then we can’t know if the x is positive or negative that is why we have to multiply it by x^2 so when you are done with the fraction you well multiply it again with 5 just because the X^2 can be both positive or negative in this particular question the x^2 is the bracket (x-3) did you understand?

why do everything in exercise 3E 3.5 except question 3 which u need to use set notation for two quadratics or one quadratic and one linear, it’s the only thing i’m confused about ;-;

You're probably in your second year but you have to satisfy both by getting the quadratic inequality and linear inequality (See last part of vid)
