I could give that thought to someone I don't really like, like......my in-laws! Yes, it's the perfect gift for them. Or even better, I'll give it to them after I use the free month. Fun fact about the cookie cutter shark: They, during the Cold War, helped maintain the high tension between the US and USSR by attacking their submarines as they mistook them for whales, resulting in both nations thinking their adversary had found a way to sabotage their vehicles deep underwater. I could easily take a shark in a fight; it would swim at me, I would dive and hold against its nose so it cannot bite me whilst I gouge its eyes out. I''ll be taking bets against me, since you fools think this impossible when punching shark noses is already proven to be effective. The killer is people panicking and just letting the thing eat them, like what happened in Egypt recently (poor guy).

Also worth noting that cookie-cutter shark's bottom teeth are the biggest in comparison to their body size of any shark. They also just swallow their teeth when they're about to shed them. And they almost caused an international incident between the US and Russia during the Cold War. Cookie-cutter sharks were taking chunks out of the rubber sonar cones of nuclear submarines, but the US and Russia didn't know that at first and both sides thought the other was up to some kind of sabotage.

Personally, I think the most intuitive way to understand how wings/fins work is as something that deflects the fluid it passes through down. A plane goes up because it pushes air down. A fish goes up for the same reason with water. The tricky part is that part of how wings often do this is that they also cause the fluid that passes over them to deflect downwards, due to things like boundary layer effects. This can all be modeled in pressure but pressure is generally a lot less intuitive for people.

And race cars go down because the wings push them down. Just that they are usually called spoiler in that context.

@@slimsqde7397 lol google it. a guy lost a giant chunk of his leg just above the knee. you know, like the Apple logo? that kind of chunk, but shark-sized. like two-thirds of the meat in a pretty large chunk of the leg. only the meat shielded by his bone was left connecting the upper part of the leg to the lower part. he had to amputate. "tubarão ataque perna" yields "good" results. there are pictures and videos of it (warning: gore. do not look it up if you're sensitive). the girl below shows in the image search too. i think uncensored videos are all out of the "regular" web by now, but there used to be some pretty scary footage. a girl lost everything below her left shoulder. shark tore her arm right off. those were both in the same day, btw. if you want you can spend a week looking up other incidents. there's even one where a shark jumped out of the water to get a guy that was parasailing. it wasn't as severe, but the shark managed to server tendons and crush bone on his foot. I know you want an award, but don't make it a darwin one. fear what needs to be feared. animals aren't cute and cuddly carebears. they don't joke around. they can kill you in an instant. if they're spotted by someone, get out of the water right away. don't wait for confirmation. that might cost your life.
