Joe after falling off my chair, I'm glad you said it 1st. and I will back it 100%. People don't realize that almost all 1st focal plane scopes are set to 10X or higher. Otherwise the Reticle is almost worthless. Having a 2.5 x 10 power 1st focal plane, you may as well just have a fixed 10x. or higher.

@@brodychapman8348 Better as in more power than 10X? Yeah and at the higher powers you can see and utilize the subtenstion on reticle. Maany 1st focal military scopes in the FFP where fixed power scopes. Its Ironic that when you try to find fixed power scopes many can be more expensive.

@@jorgefigueroa7573 I'm saying a 3-9 or 2.5-10x type FFP scope is still more useful than a fixed 10x because you have a lower mag range, larger FOV for close shots. I can still use reticles at 6ish X on well designed, lower power, FFP scopes. I dont know exactly why mil used so many fixed powers but there's a good chance it was because all the variables in the not very distant past were utterly unreliable in hard use when it came to dialing and holding zero.

I bought a Zeiss Conquest in 4.5-14 the year they became available. It's on top of a fully custom .25/08 Remington 700 action with a Lilja barrel, using a Timney trigger. It's mounted using Conetrol rings and bases. Best damned scope I have ever used.

Zeiss converted a lot of people to the brand and glass quality, with the old Conquest MC's, I have two of them, a 3-9x40 RZ600 and a 4.5-14x4? RZ800, been really good scopes. Terra didn't seem to go over as well, then the V$ line seems to be a return to the quality of glass on the old Conquest MC, plus a few newer options people want today, and fairly reasonably priced. Gat a lot of bang for the buck on them.

Had then sold a older V4 4-16x I bought online. Reason being the zero reset on it was terrible. Held in place only by friction from 3 screws. No slots. Screws eventually would come loose and spin freely every second or third time i would go shoot long range and mess with dials. Hope they fixed it on elevation knob.

I just purchased a second Zeiss V4, haven’t gotten the chance to mount the thing yet. 1st time I’ve ever bought the same optic twice, absolute fanboy of these!! Was actually worried you were going to hate on it!! To me it looks better than my Swaro Z5! I believe this is one of the better collabs the Germans/Japanese have done! That last historical one kinda sucked!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ooooh not exactly certain what the purple scope torturing instrument is, I may suggest using some hand sanitizer after though! 🤣🤣

I dropped my rifle with a NF ffp while hunting elk last year. I was carrying it and it just slipped. 3ft drop, landed on the top of the scope. After taking it to the range the next day it was off by 6" right at 100 yards. So I don't think it matters what scope you have if you drop it.

Have you done any test on the nx8 4x30. I would like to know how it went. Just took the Burris off. The data wouldn’t upload to the scope. The Burris data on the app was good but was off on the turret about 1.5 moa at 500 yards.

Don't forget to wash your hands and disinfect the scope. Other than that when using the purple thingy. Insert it in the proper place and pull it out one bead at a time for her pleasure, don't yank it out like you would start a chainsaw.
