In this video I would like to show you how you can use lenses from the Contaflex series Contaflex Super II, Super B, Super BC on your mirrorless digital camera.
The special thing about these lenses was that they were so-called set lenses. This means that the lens system consists of two parts. One part (the rear element) is permanently attached to the camera and contains the shutter and aperture, while the other part (the front element) is interchangeable and is attached to the camera with a bayonet mount. The shutter is a leaf shutter.
The fact that all lenses must have the same rear element makes the optical calculation particularly difficult and restricts the design of lenses with different focal lengths. Therefore, only 35 mm, 50 mm, 85 mm and 115 mm lenses were available for this camera.
The maximum aperture in the telephoto range was f/4, in the wide-angle range there were lenses with f/3.2 and f/4, and the standard lens set offered f/2.8.
I found the adapter presented here on eBay:: www.ebay.de/usr/fotohansi0172
