Hi, this lens only down to t3.9 at 100mm right? 21-99mm stays t2.9 if I'm right.

The actual light transmitting through the lens will shift slowly through the zoom range so at like 50mm it might be around a T3.3

Hey Leon. On testing you really only see the very slight difference at right at the end, and you have to look for it. The overall ramping of this is awesome. Truly a great lens. I'm buying one and prefer it to the Fujinon 20-120. It's much lighter as well.

I need a great lens for my komodo. I like the zooms but I'd consider a prime like the arri ultra prime. Can someone give me there recommendations in a price range of 3k to 25k. I really don't want to pay 30k for a single lens other wise I might as well have invested in the lowest Arri camera.

Stupid question: I still wonder why these Zeiss entry level lenses have not been used yet for narrative cine work yet? It seems these Zeiss lenses of all levels all share the same accurate look which means you could actually do everything with it. But why they do not use them in all levels then? What is the technical difference between a LWZ.3 or CP.3 level lens against a Zeiss Master Prime side by side. What makes them use the Master Primes for cinema movies but not a CP.3 or LWZ.3 if they all have no flaws?

Probably the size of the lens for gimbal work. But the main thing would Probably the T1.3 aperture on the master primes.
