Very well performed lens comparison set of takes. Beautifuly shoot while precise and faithful.

Thank you for posting this. The 'stress' test with the backlight and plants in the background is incredibly useful. In the more controlled first part of the test the Signatures shine with their lack of breathing (the Supremes' breathing is quite yucky), no onion rings at any aperture, warmer skin tones and somewhat 'contrastier' look. But in the shots with the plants and backlight the Supremes look...well, supreme - the focus roll-off is exquisitely gradual (the Signatures are a mushy mess when wide open and even at 2.8) and the highlight handling is superb in comparison to the Arris.

the supremes barely have nay breathinig, your thinking of the halation. its not actuall cropping at all, which would be breathing.

@@Dondillilochevrolet I've used the Zeiss Supremes quite a lot for the past year and they definitely breathe (some focal lengths more than others). Mind you, it doesn't really bother me as I seldom do extreme focus pulls.

Great comparison! Very similar sets in a lot of ways with a few subtle differences. Surprised to see so much breathing on the Supremes actually. In the first test the Siggy's do have that extra dimension in the skin tone to me. Both great lenses though.
