Zeke's Place - Gloucester, MA (Phantom Gourmet)

As you drive past the inner harbor in Gloucester Massachusetts, the picturesque views promise to catch your eye. But just across the street is a little restaurant you might never even notice, which would really be a mistake, because Zeke's Place serves some of the best breakfasts on the North Shore.

Just ate at Charlie's Place a month ago on a motorhome trip from California. Their fried haddock and clam chowder was amazing. The haddock is not cooked like fish and chips but has a very thin crust that some reviewers called soggy but it complimented the flaky sweet haddock. They also have a haddock chowder that looked delicious but we've never had haddock before so we went with the clam chowder. The Haddock meal is big and is very splittable. If we were there longer, we could have tried Zeke's. Maybe some other time.
