If youve beat Zelda 2, youve heard this theme more than a few times, the great palace is like the size of 4 palaces

This theme is such a banger and now I want a full symphonic retelling of this soundtrack and a remake of the game

I’ve been playing through it again as of late, this game absolutely deserves a remake! It’s still a lot of fun even all these years later

Did anyone else find Thunderbird to be a lot more difficult than Dark Link?

Zelda 2 is so underrated. I think the newer generations play it and don’t think it fits the theme of Zelda games. I love this game. Plus I got it when it came out and had already played Zelda. We thought this was cool and different. There wasn’t a standard yet.

The gameplay is pretty fun, but goddam is it soo difficult. Death Mountain is such a slog.

My Mom beat Zelda 2. At age 30. Death Mountain dry runs and everything. Difficulty can't be THAT bad ;)

Also hardest Zelda game ever. This dungeon in particular puts NES spectacle rock to shame.

Not the biggest fan of Zelda 2 but this game really knocks it out of the park with the final dungeon. You’ve gotten kicked around so much and now you’re at the end. The 1 one 1 sword fighting is about as good as you can make it on NES. Plus the boss fights are great. This is Link waging a one man war!

It adds to the mystique when fighting enemies like that bird-like/soldier creature called Fokka that appear constantly throughout the palace

When I was a kid, I was always disappointed that they didn't make a 16 bit, updated version of Zelda 1 & 2, like Nintendo did of the first 4 Mario games in 1993's "Super Mario All-Stars." Why wasn't there a "Zelda All-Stars"? Seemed like an obvious thing to me, but unfortunately it never happened.

could you imagine.. this game teamed up with elden ring? 😮 to make the ultimate dark-fantasy zelda?
