Favorite weapon is the Lizal Tri-Boomerang. It looks cool and I love a quick projectile to lob at enemies that can also be used for melee damage. It's super fun to use, except when a Lizalfos catches it and uses it against me.

My favorite weapon is the Thunderspear. The CC you get from shocking enemies is fantastic and if you combo it with a Frostspear it chains the CC over and over again, and even creates that AoE effect on the lightning to shock multiple enemies at once.

You can also get a blizzard rod in the snowball bowling mini game the first time you get a strike with an open weapon slot

Also, hiting a frosted enemy with a thunder weapon have the same effect as using it in a rainning day. So frost then thunder is a really good combo.

If you freeze an enemy and you have a wizzrobe lightning rod you can deal huge amounts of damage to him while he is unable to do anything. Just make sure the staff itself does not connect with the enemy but only the lightning bolts because then you can keep zapping him while he's frozen and because he's wet the damage of the electricity is much higher than normal. .

That works with any kind of thunder damage weapon, but yeah, the rod is the optimal weapon.

Found a Great Frostblade with Critical Hit on it. It is easily the best modifer for the weapon, because you can freeze one strike and deal 6x damage in the next.

My favorite weapons to carry in no particular order are the great flameblade, Savage lynel crusher, frost spear, lightscale trident, a few Savage lynel swords/royal broadswords/lizal triboomerangs (I do like to have one of these in general as well), two or three Royal claymores, great thunderblade, and I'm now considering carrying a blizzard rod. I also want to carry around a korok leaf but I always just find that when I use it I'm usually forcing myself to use it, it's not that I need it. I sometimes get a sledge or cobble crusher but the Savage lynel crusher is usable for ore, but it just feels like a waste lol.

I like using a combination of ice and lightning attacks. I would use a blizzard rod to freeze them, then pull out a thunderblade and hit them twice to shock them (shock arrows do just as well) then I freeze them again and electrify them until they're dead. It works on most non - boss overworld enemies, but it doesn't seem to work on Lynels.....

My favorite weapon will have to be the frost spear because if you charge the attack to its fullest extent it will repeatedly freeze and then attack with 3x dmg bonus over and over again. I tested this out on a blue moblin and it died soon after the attack.

I always keep a blizzard rod on me just for the 3x damage multiplier. Here's an example of how ridiculous it can be and what I believe is the most damage you can do in a single blow. A +15 damage modifier Ancient Battle Axe++ (75 damage) with Ancient Armor's set bonus (x1.8) and a +3 attack buff (x1.5) against a frozen enemy (x3) does a whopping 606 damage!

Hah, indeed! Just posted a video showing exactly that! I tried it on a guardian scout, you'd think it would do more due to the x1.3 inherent damage multiplier of the axe against guardians, but for some reason it still didn't go higher than 606.

I'm wondering if that x1.3 multiplier didn't work because it is the same multiplier you get from the Ancient Armor's x1.8 boost? Similar to how eating attack boost food doesn't boost Barbarian armor?

The ice/blizzard rods are imo more useful than their close combat counterparts, most people don’t seem to think so but man, one sweep of the Blizzard rod and every enemy in front of you is froze. It don’t have much durability but if used properly against multiple enemies it can last just as long. That said the fire and lightning weapons are far superior than their magic rod counterparts. For longer range your better off just firing an elemental arrow. But I promise if you try the Blizzard rod out on multiple enemies you’ll throw your ice swords and spear away, freezing an enemy don’t cause the big damage like striking them when frozen anyway, repeatedly striking enemies with an ice weapon is pointless and a waste of durability. Iirc a spin attack with the blizzard rod will actually work when attempting to freeze enemies when completely surrounded. Either way it’s SO easy to just freeze an entire mob with a single swipe, allowing you to do INSANE damage with a Savage Lynel Club, but whatever u have, you’ll ultimately do more damage using this method as long as your weapon has a higher attack rating than your preferred ice sword or spear while staying safe from enemies still frozen

6:30 that is not how you use the frost spear, you are suppose to charge the spear and keep stabbing and freeze it with frost spear. Giving the enemy endless brrrr... until it dies

How do attack buffs work in this game? like, what are the multipliers for each level?

I believe the buff from food/barbarian set are 20/30/50% more damage for level 1/2/3. Radiant armor buffs bone weapons by 80%, Ancient armor buffs ancient and guardian weapons by 80%. Guardians take 30%/50% extra damage from guardian/ancient weapons Shattering a frozen enemy deals 300% damage, sneakstrike deals 800%. All these buffs stack multiplicatively (barbarian armor and food don't stack) so stacking buffs is very valuable.
