@@logansullivan576 I liked the Latin American Spanish version also. In some cutscenes, well, in a lot of cutscenes really. A lot of the characters sounded awesome in that Spanish. Revali, Deku Tree, Teba, even Zelda sounded better. But I think in just this moment here, French Zelda was so much better. I'm Mexican and I actually really liked how some of the characters sounded in Latin American Spanish.

It was nice, how she speaks all straightforward, silently realising everything, trying to stay calm. But there was no breaking point where she started to cry loudly, so everything tuned out blank. It could be good, but failed at the end.

English Zelda was bland. Most of the other Zelda VAs were pretty decent; Spanish Zelda was pretty good until the end of the memory scene I mean. Italian Zelda was actually pretty decent. Mexican Zelda was good too but she sounded more like she was acting in a telenovela. I'm Mexican and I actually did like the Latin Spanish voice acting in this game but I just think that the despair memory was actually done better in the French dub.

English had a great buildup, and it's understandable that Zelda looks so desperate and tired that she could only utter gasping sobs, but more emotion would have completely set it straight. Japanese was perfect on the mood, and her cry is understandable because Zelda is desperate, and depressed, as she feels like she's failed everyone, but it's a bit too over the top.

French version: the actress nailed it. I buy Zelda's despair and anger, even though I don't understand any word. She breaking down also made me feel sad. Spanish (Mexico): the beginning was weak, it become better at the end. Japanese: I feel nothing, lackluster. Only her scream at the end might work. But it's too late. German:a tired woman after a hard day (no the falling of any kingdom) nothing memorable there. Russian: now, this does sound as a woman begging for salvation. Destroyed. Good job. Italian: another lackluster portrayal. Spanish (Spain):she sounds confused and it might have worked if she knew how to cry. English: at least she tries. But her accent makes me want to laugh. French wins. Spanish and Russia also did a good job.

Imagine training for years to get your powers but it just didn't work out for you, because your mother/mentor died before she could teach you. I think the Japanese VA did a great job - maybe you find it over dramatic because the English one was bland in retrospect.
