Tim plays so well, yet so differently than I do. It's amazing to watch. Usually I'm like "oh no, Tim forgot a thing!" but so far with this game it's been "holy crap he's grabbing every little thing, I can't even keep track!"

I like that they brought the two zora races in the same game and gave them a rivalry.

Well now I'm not gonna be able to unhear "Take, takin' a dump" when it plays that item jingle.

You ever just imagine what this game looked like if it was de-maked into a gameboy game, like Link's awakening and the oracle games? Something about how the cutscenes play out makes me think of that

The Zoras have my favorite story of all the races in this game

Mermaid’s Cavern or Cave not sure what it was called-one of the best dungeons in all of 2D Zelda, definitely hard to top that! The Zora quest is so nice. When they play together it reminds me of the two sages playing together to power the master sword in Wind Waker

Second episode in a row where you drown an enemy that’s brutal

I like how Nintendo happened to think of having 'river' and 'sea' zora right around the time I'm writing a BOTW alternate timeline with a similar concept. Similar thing happened with Ace attorney too.

This actually isn't the first time both Zora tribes were in the same game- Oracle of Ages did it quite a while ago. Of course, this was back when River Zora were generally considered enemies.

Hearing you talk about age reminds me of the 40 Years in Minutes series you had on breaking BreakingNCS. Hard to believe its been almost a decade already. I can't remember did yu give up your idea for The Antagonist? I ask because Bimothy Tishop would be great name for him!

LOVVVVE DOCTOR K!!!! His interviews especially have taught me SO much about how I think about things as well as how I talk to other people. I feel like way more people need to see him

Tim, I've been a fan of your LP's for many years--I have to ask, why are you rushing this one SO much? Would you mind slowing down a little bit? I understand not reading every single word in every single dialogue box...but I've found myself watching at 75% speed just to try to follow the story, understand the game mechanics, and try to catch bits of what the characters are actually saying. Even then, it still feels like you're too impatient, like you just want to "get it done." All of that makes this LP less fun and engaging to watch. It isn't how you've approached your other Zelda LP's, and for me at least, that's always been part of the draw of your channel--that it's not just about ticking boxes and beating bosses. But that it's also about enjoying the world of the games, about getting to experience the story and emotional beats with you, and hearing your thoughts about the more impactful moments. Even if you don't care as much about the narrative here as you have with other games, would you consider giving us a chance to care about it? Of course it's ultimately your decision, and I appreciate that you make and share these videos at all. Just wanted to share that sentiment/suggestion, which I've seen in a few other comments as well. We don't need short videos and instant gratification all the time! Button mashing through every interaction feels like being served an amazing meal and then wolfing it down in 5 minutes, without actually tasting it. I think you struck a better balance between progress and story in TOTK, and would love if you would consider that approach here on EOW. Thank you for reading if you did, and thank you for all you do on this channel!

Yeah, I was a little concerned that people might feel this way. Once I get to the Frog Ring, I feel like the world really opens up then, and i can kinda relax and do stuff at my own pace. I had this anxiety that I would be constantly running into stuff that I couldn't do without it, or stuff that would take longer without it (like a certain acorn-gathering minigame). But yeah, once I get past the "mid-point" I do slow down a bit. But in the meantime, just as a warning, part 6 is probably the part where I am the worst about this!

Tim, I swear, not paying attention will get you destroyed in the comments. I know Zelda isn’t big on story, but you’re giving Arin from Game Grumps level of caring. Note: I don’t mean this in a negative way, I just feel like you skipping over dialogue makes the experience more limited.

I agree! I like watching LPs for both story, gameplay and the commentary, it really feels like he's just rushing through the game. He did say in the middle he's got to get the Frog Ring but still I feel like things are happening way too quickly and he's skipping over everything.
