Now you might never want to try a meal replacement but if for some reason you did...what name will pop into your head? Sure you might *say* ew gross never with that name, but you know its just a stupid joke name and you don't feel any true disgust at it, just internet hyperbole... So, of all the possible choices, if you were to try one of these...which one is the most likely? The one who's name you remember, or some random one you see on Amazon? Given that this has to be a ridiculously niche market and they've been around for who knows how long at this point, I think the name worked.

​​@@Largentina. Its not easy to run 60,emulators take a lot of resources on the cpu so this guys comment is valid. I have a 4090 13900k and I feel lucky to run it in 60. Instead, I should feel like of course I can run it on sixty. The coding and omptimizations of games through games can tirn a beast pc performance to a normal mid-tier one.

As someone who grew up as a Sega kid from Master System - Dreamcast. I can’t help but think that nostalgia plays a huge factor in most reviewers scores. My wife loves Zelda games, but I just have never been able to get into them. I’m going to give it another try though since we are about to make a cross country road trip.

You are looking at it from a quality point of view and nintendo hasn't been about quality since they shat Pokemon out, that became the new target model for Nintendo. Nintendo is the Cocacola and Marlboro of gaming: not good but still have millions of consumers.

And I would have to been paid to play any GoW or a Tlou, regardless of moment to moment quality, those games bore me to no end. If they were free on a PC i would still not play them. Dropped RdR2 in chapter 2, maybe 3? I really can't remember...

Glad to hear the positives for zelda.. But im dumbfounded at the amount of people buying it at the higher price. Just like the 2080ti being overpriced but sales were high leading to every future product being overpriced, people buying TOTK will show the higher ups that people will accept the higher prices and theyll deploy it across all products. I'll wait for a sale because its what were gonna have to do in the future for every game.

The problem with this logic is that Nintendo isn’t going to lower the prices even if sales were down from BOTW. It took them 4 years to decrease the price on the last one & it’s still usually $50 which is ridiculous.

Nintendo has had select titles at $70 in the past. Most notable were titles in the Nintendo 64 Era. Games like Golden Eye and Mario Kart 64 from what I remember, I think Zelda Orcarina of Time. Was too young to know why that was. I do remember Nintendo always being more expensive on average compared to other platforms during that time.

If the product sells out then it's the opposite of overpriced, it means they could have charged more and people would still buy it. They are leaving money on the table as is. And it's not a scam if consumers willingly pay the higher price, it just means that gaming is leaving you behind. Also good luck with that, in the last 5 years pokemon has sold almost 100 million copies while being an RPG for babies with ADD and having a budget of two cheetos. Nintendo has mastered getting paid for nothing.

Personally, I am happy to wait for some new hardware to play both BOTW and TOTK. I haven't played either because the Switch performance issues would really bother me. If it means I don't get to play these games for another 2 years but when I do it can be in 1080p 60fps, that's fine with me. That being said, I hope everyone that is playing it right now is having a great time with it!

I see two other reasons Nintendo switch successor is taking so long. Trying to get more power into a form factor just as portable with similar battery life. But also it may have taken them a while to come up with that next “big” hardware idea. The next thing thats others are gonna try and copy, the next thing that they think will change how people play or engage with their console games. I may be wrong, but I don’t see the next console being just a higher spec switch.

Honestly,I bought and tried the retail version. It looked muddy and choppy in my opinion. I just couldnt bare playing it in 720p/30. Then I just emulated on my beast p,4k/ 60 is Soo much better. My eyes are spoiled. The only thing I need thoigh are shaders😂 It stutters at new areas.

Got about 24-ish hours on TotK. My biggest concern from the outset was the rumored "dip" in frame-rate when activating some of the new abilities as I tend to be awful persnickety about functionality. Thus far, I haven't noticed anything. Allow me to play Devil's Advocate for Nintendo: Which is a scummier move? Putting out a broken piece of over-hyped junk at full price or releasing a game that isn't infested with bugs while sacrificing some HD graphics? Let's be honest: Whether it's Nintendo or any other AAA studio, they know we're going to buy it. While Papa Bruce is correct in that these huge publishers care very little about our feelings, it seems to me that Nintendo cares just a little bit more than the rest.
