You just arranged my favorite Zelda song in a beautiful way. Can't express how much I admire you.

Hyrule Castle is also my favorite track from the soundtrack. There's so much in this one piece, it's a whole world in itself. Beautiful stuff.

Always loved this song!

It took me a while to find the Minish Cap version of it but I ended up really liking it. The original Hyrule Castle track is probably my favorite track in the Zelda series, or at least top three. Amazing and way of its time in 1992.

That's great to hear! Thank you very much. I'm very curious how you'll like the medley then. Let's talk about that end of January!

Nice! I never thought I'd see some love for my favorite (well, my only) Zelda game!
@Verdegrand5 жыл бұрын
Are you talking about Minish Cap, or Link to the Past? I haven't played Minish Cap myself. Link to the Past is often considered to be one of the best games in the franchise. But I know that the handheld games are also considered hidden gems.

You never cease to amaze, Verdegrand. I've been listening to your arrangements since I discovered your incredible rendition of Corridors of Time from Chrono Trigger (like most people here, I imagine), and I am always amazed by the sheer fluidity of your playing. Everything just seems so natural--as if the chords are water flowing down a river. I've always loved this particular song, and your arrangement is simply perfect. Bravo!
@Verdegrand5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your very kind words. Corridors of Time was a special project to me back then, Zohar has greatly influenced me and playing his arrangements has been an experience that I often think back to. I'm happy to hear you enjoy my work, and it's good to know this still goes for my current arrangements. And yes, Hyrule Castle is a special track to me as well. If you enjoyed this, you can look forward to the version in the medley. Really curious how you're gonna like the medley, let me know end of the month!

This is awesome! I don't think I've ever heard an arrangement of this version of the song before.
@Verdegrand5 жыл бұрын
Thank you. It's certainly one of the lesser known versions, even though the fans of Minish Cap seem to cherish it greatly.

Great work! It's interesting how Zelda transitioned into something more exploratory, then something more narrative-driven, then back again as of recent! The music has always kept to high standards as well - I've never played Minish Cap, but I hear both the stately, regal feel of ALTTP's Hyrule Castle theme, but also a lot of smaller, darker runs to help fill out the space, with some interesting dissonant tones! Great work Verdegrand!

Thank you. I stopped playing Zelda games after Ocarina of Time, with the exception of the Oracle games, so I haven't experienced the progression. But I've heard that the series has undergone quite a transformation over the years. The music is certainly one of the best things about the franchise.

@Verdegrand Where can i find the note sheets of this master piece. I only find the arrangement by zeila. But that ist not this version. This is more detailed and sounds awesome.
@Verdegrand Жыл бұрын
thank you for your kind words. unfortunately there are no sheets for this, i played it by ear. maybe at some point someone could transcribe it, but that would probably take a long time. sorry about that, i know how it feels to see an arrangement that you want to play but there are no sheets available, been there myself. cheers, and happy holidays.

Although you're using *A Link to The Past* images, the song was amazing! Loved it!

I actually think he used those images because of the teaser at the end of the video
@lukewood26625 жыл бұрын
@@holzfallerlp But the song is from *The Minish Cap* . The visual thing is a little logically confusing, but I still liked the song.
@Verdegrand5 жыл бұрын
You kinda missed the point of this video - this is not a Minish Cap video. Of course it also works as such which is why I labeled it with its correct title.
@lukewood26625 жыл бұрын
@@Verdegrand Logically speaking, there's space for the two interpretations of the video, since the title says one thing and the video says another. Apparently, this is not what you expected, but it's not a big deal. Anybody can still appreciate the song, which is well played.

@Verdegrand5 жыл бұрын
Hello, I've been back for a while, if you missed it, then make sure to check out my uploads of the past few months. My hands haven't gotten better yet, but I have started to make music again because it appears that this is required for a recovery to happen in the first place. So I use editing and post production to compensate for finger problems and keep arranging and uploading. Stay tuned because I have a lot of plans for 2019.

But it'll happen eventually, as soon as I make more progress. PS I love your profile pic. Was a big fan of Deus Ex back in the early 2000s, and love its soundtrack very much.

I think you're gonna be pleased with what's gonna come your way this January.
