The bosses in this game were my absolute favorite. Dragons, giant floating dinosaur skeleton heads, a cute little yeti lady who turns into a terrifying ice monster? And that Dark-Souls-esque, axe-wielding ghost knight miniboss. Even if they weren't that hard, the bosses, the ambiance, and the epicness of each fight puts Twilight Princess high on my list.
@mikea86155 жыл бұрын
I think the same, each boss was unique, each dungeon was distinguishable from the others and felt unique, the story (despite being "save the princess") was emotional, the sequences were original (love the western part), the Weapons were fun, personally it is in that very thing that the breath of the wild fails. Repetitive bosses, design of the repetitive temples and were exactly the same if not for being different animals.

I can see why so many people think Twilight Princess is one of the better games in the series. Never dawned on me until recently, but this game had a few similarities to Shadow of the Colossus, which was full of inspiration from earlier Zelda titles itself. I forget how creative this game was with its boss fights and where you can see the obvious inspirations. Like Morpheel and Argorok were very clearly inspired by Shadow of the Colossus. Twilight Princess gets written off as an Ocarina of Time remake, but they put so much effort into creative battles and making sure you can truly see that the Twilight IS responsible for what's happening in the temples. In Ocarina of Time, only a couple of the battles seem truly linked to Ganondorf's takeover. I love how the Zant fight tour relies entirely on remembering the methods for beating what was originally in that environment and re-purposing it. I love that they brought back mechanics that in other games would have been one-offs for each temple.

you know what would be cool? most of these boss fights with BOTW's mechanics. Can you imagine how much harder it would be to fight some of these bosses? For example with diababa, you no longer have the gale boomerang to direct bombs into the beasties mouths, and would instead have to be clever about how to reach the heads (assuming bombs actually have to go to its mouth instead of using bomb arrows). Fyrus would basically just be a fire induced hinox, but with chains to both block attacks at its ankles, and to hit you with. we can't do morpheal Stallord would be hecking awesome though! Imagine having to run through the quick sand continuosly to try and get to its spine, all the while under attack by Stallord? Not to mention the floating head bit, though I imagine it would be a bit more like moving target practice Blizzeta would need you to climb around the room and avoid ice attacks as well as try and hit her with bombs or something. Armogohma would need you to also climb and find ways to shoot at its eye while dodging its attacks and lil' spider babies. Argorok, this time you fight an actual fucking DRAGON! imagine the ones already in BOTW but now replace it with him and kill it. lots of use of the paraglider, like the Medoh divine beast, but this time you may need to fly around and hit it in the weak spot, latch on, and stab away. Zant I suppose would be a bit of them all, but his final phase, would sortof be like the monk boss fight's first part. Ganons parts, just imagine it! Puppet Zelda, reflecting back the attacks with a shield, it would be fun. Beast Ganon, basically a stronger faster rushing lynel with only one real way to actually stun him, parrying the rushes. Lastly, the Human Ganondorf. An actual sword duel, using the way you fought to try and work around his brute strength, and his skill. That would be awesome. Imagine it

I love the Zant boss fight, it's so crazy and fun. When I played the original back in 2006, it was kinda saddening hardly anything had been done with Zant. He had way more potential than an odd mimic of previous foes, and he was despised at the time as an "ignorant man-child." Still kinda is. I like this game, though. As much as I like Majora's Mask. Breath of the Wild just couldn't hold a candle to it's predecessors (to me anyway). Felt too much like an attempt to be Skyrim or similar, and the detailed story that the others had just wasn't really there to engage me enough. For example: Midna. I hated Midna at first, but when I got to the point she was dying, getting to the castle became priority. I didn't realize the change from "I hate her" to "I like her." It just happened. I also strangely held the thought that Midna could have been lying about Zant to begin with to further her own agenda as well. Which, yeah, she was using Link as a pawn just as well to achieve her own ends. Initially.

One of the most visual appealing boss battles in the series...but also the most easy ones.

Are there more that wonder what the fossils, demons, ghosts and round looked like in their prime/ glory days? I can't be the only one...

I was thinking that during the Stallord fight. It would certainly be very interesting to see.
@makedragon4 жыл бұрын
Actually, Stallord looks like it's in the same position that the King Dodongo (second boss in OOT) died.... So maybe related?also the second phase has the exact same song the fire bosses had in OOT so... Don't know for sure.

The boss fights were certainly easy but that didn’t change how incredible they were in the end

I will always say that the boss room/stage for Fyrus should have been the wobbly magnetic platform used for the miniboss! The Iron Boots and Bow and Arrow could have been really cool there and have the stage flip upside down and hit his forehead gem

My sister recently played Twilight Princess in my PC 'cause she never finished a Zelda game, of course, I helped her. I always said that Twilight Princess bosses are really easy to beat, but damn, those battles are epic.

Nice job! I enjoyed this a lot, but I wish you had finished some of these bosses, as opposed to just stabbing them. On many bosses you get the "finish," option when they are vulnerable to your sword for the third time. It's especially epic for Morpheel and Argorok, in whch case Link will put away the clawshot, stand up straight on the bosses back for a second before driving his sword straight into their weak spots. It's really cool.
