This was a fun little edit we did at 6:15, to indicate that the Great Deku Tree can see Link's clothes, regardless if they're "new" in Second Quest. I hope everyone enjoys both Erik's return as the Deku Tree and Arielle's return as Makar, along with a bunch of returning/new faces for the Korok children!

*Link’s Journal: Day 3* Now that I’ve had some time to take stock of all the chaos that happened last night, I can try to put down more recent events and the general weirdness of this new locale. The first thing that happened to me here was that I was woken up by a talking boat. You read that correctly, and I genuinely questioned how hard I got battered by the seas last night. Said boat introduced itself as the King of Red Lions, called me an idiot for trying to keep Aryll safe, and gave a name to the shadowy giant I saw last night: Ganon. The man of great evil from the old myth of the Hero of Time. After confirming that, yes, I do still want to save Aryll, the King of Red Lions agreed to help me plan a new attack on the Forsaken Fortress. But before it gets underway, preparations need to be made, starting with actually making this talking boat seaworthy, since it doesn’t even have a sail. Thankfully, the island I landed on (or, I guess, was taken to) is essentially a giant marketplace, so finding a sail should be easy, and walking around a bit should help reacquaint my mind with sanity long enough to figure out if the King of Red Lions is even real. This place is absolutely gigantic (at least, compared to Outset Island), and yet the locals claim this, Windfall Island, is one of the smaller islands in the Great Sea. The locals are quite talkative too, with some literally pulling me off to the side just to try to chat me up. I’ve never been one for conversation, so I’d just slip away the first moment I could. After all, I had supplies to gather and was running low on time. My quest for a sail ended up leading me to practice my jailbreaking, since a merchant agreed to give me a sail in exchange for helping one of his old crewmates, a strange man named Tingle, escape from the island’s prison. The whole exchange made me reconsider freeing him the moment I opened the cell, but it’s this or no sail. The only net positive here is that Tingle shoved a sea chart and some money in my face before he (thankfully) left me alone. The money actually came in handy since the merchant had the audacity to charge me for the sail he promised me earlier. Whatever, I have a sail now, so I can get out of here and start preparing for the upcoming assault. When I returned to the boat (it’s still talking), I went about tying the sail and made my way out from Windfall Island, carried eastward by the winds until I landed at an island topped by a giant mountain. This is Dragon Roost Island, the home and central hub for the Rito tribe, and my task here is to acquire something called “Din’s Pearl” from the dragon, Valoo, living atop the mountain. This is gonna be fun. *Link’s Journal: Day 4* Before I got off the beach, the King of Red Lions tossed a small white stick to me, which it called “The Wind Waker,” saying it was a baton used to channel the power of the gods. I didn’t know what it was talking about, but I humored the King anyway by strapping it to my scabbard and setting off to get this pearl. I ran into postman Quill on the way up the mountain. He said that he told the rest of the Rito about my situation, and that they’d be more than willing to help. He’s going to introduce me to the Rito chieftain so we can work out details. The meeting went rather well. I filled in the chieftain and Quill, who elected to stay and help with things here, about everything that happened between me leaving Outset and coming here. I left out the part about the talking boat, though, it didn’t seem relevant to the problem at hand. There’s just one problem here: The Rito require scales from Valoo in order to fly, and the dragon has been very aggressive lately, to the point where young Rito aren’t able to even approach him. So I’ll need to wait until that problem is cleared before battle plans can be drawn. In the meantime, the chieftain asked me to talk to his son, Komali, who has been troubled recently due to him reaching his own adulthood. I’m not much of an example, but I hope I can at least help the kid out in some way. The chieftain also wanted me to give something to Komali, which is currently in the possession of a young Rito named Medli. Apparently, she’s training to be an attendant to Valoo, which I doubt is going to go too far any time soon. She handed me a letter (from the chieftain to his son), apologized in advance for Komali’s attitude (can’t be much worse than any of Aryll’s temper tantrums), and told me to meet her at the entrance of Dragon Roost cavern after I’m done talking with Komali. -I don’t know how to feel about getting such an invitation from someone as cute as her.- I can’t help feeling bad for Komali. He can’t be much older than Aryll, and it’s obvious to me that this rite of passage terrifies him (I can’t blame him there), but all he’s getting from his father is a letter telling him to be brave, as if that could possibly be helpful. I honestly don’t know what the chieftain’s plan was in having _me_ talk to his own son instead of him, especially since he’s so young that he doesn’t even know what bravery actually is. At the moment, the best I could do was explain what’s actually being asked of him: To retrieve the scale _despite_ his fear, not to fearlessly charge in without any thought or worry. I doubt any of it helped him much, he seems like the type of person that would need proof before believing anything. Thankfully, I might know a way to get that proof. I ended up taking Medli up on her offer, and it turns out she wasn’t asking me out during our first meeting (thank heavens, that would’ve been awkward). She brought me to a dried mountain spring that’d been blocked up by a rampage from Valoo, and told me that Komali’s grandmother was her teacher, the previous attendant to the dragon. I think I understand exactly where his fears come from now. Medli then threw herself into my arms, pointed towards a cave entrance just above us, and told me to throw her up to it. I ended up doing as she asked, and she thanked me by throwing a glass jar at my head, telling me to take care of Komali “if anything happens to her,” and wishing me luck. I’m still reeling from the emotional (and physical) whiplash, but I know that blindly rushing in won’t help anyone. She’s gonna need all the help she can get. We both do. So, it turns out, after tossing some water on those red plants, they grow into large flowers that explode after picking them. Needless to say, the mountain spring is no longer dry. Heading into the cave after Medli, I noticed there were marks on the floor and walls directing me through, no doubt left by her for Komali to follow. Medli’s marks continued on for a while but suddenly stopped partway through. I dread to think of what’s become of her. It’s a damn good thing I went after Medli, as it turns out the scrawny pigs from the Forsaken Fortress had made a camp at the top of Dragon Roost Mountain, and had captured her for reasons I don’t particularly care to know. After taking out her guards, I broke open Medli’s cell and made sure she wasn’t hurt. Thankfully she’s okay, but she managed to find out what’s pissing off Valoo: The beasts had set some creature on the dragon’s tail, which hangs down into a chamber beneath the beasts’ camp. I agreed to venture into the chamber and take care of it, and Medli’s going to return to the village to fill everyone in on what’s going on. Before she left, Medli gave me a strange contraption: A long length of rope with a metal claw attached at one end. She said it’s used by Rito before they get their wings, which is going to be very useful to me as soon as I get used to it. The chamber with Valoo’s tail was massive, about half the size of the actual mountain, I’d wager, with the center of the room being filled with what I can only call “liquid fire.” Within that fire was the troublesome creature: A giant fire-spitting insect covered in armor. I figured crushing the insect would kill it, and I saw that the roof was coming loose from Valoo’s thrashings. I just hope the dragon won’t be too angry about me grabbing his tail to bring the rocks down onto the insect. The rocks didn’t kill the insect, but it at least broke off its armor, so my sword was enough to finish the job. When I made my way back to the village, I was met by Medli and Komali. Apparently, Medli had told him what I was doing. He apologized for not trusting me earlier, and told me that he wants to be like me. I told him not to be sorry, since he had no real reason to trust me at first anyway, and that he should try to be better than me. After all, I’m just doing this for my own reasons. He didn’t quite seem to think the same, and handed me a large, red crystal ball, saying it was his most treasured possession. Apparently, Valoo is also grateful for my actions, and that I should “use the wind god’s wind,” whatever that means. I can’t say one way or another, it just sounded like more roars to me, so I’m just getting this from Medli’s translations. Medli mentioned a wind shrine that might have some connection to what Valoo was saying, so I’ll check it out before I leave. Valoo also hailed me as a hero, as did Medli. I think it’s a bit too much to call me that, but Komali went off to get his dragon scale (with Medli following closely after) before I could really argue the point. I’m just one guy trying to protect the few people that matter to me. Even if that number is growing a slight bit as I go.

There’s actually secret dialogue with the great Deku tree If you leave five times before killing the monsters on his face he will actually say something and then continue with normal dialogue

If you bring together all of the LOZ characters that have instruments, you can have the entire orchestra of familiar characters perform famous songs from various Zelda Games! Perhaps during another Anniversary special for the Legend of Zelda franchise…

Hee hee, the reading of Makar's "I am not a snack!" line is different, but the actor here still makes him sound adorable. All of the Koroks are adorable, even if they are tough as balls to find in Breath of the Wild when we next see them. The voice of the Deku Tree was great too. Shout outs to all of the people playing the Koroks.

I had no idea that this episode was coming out today. Kinda short but well done by all the voice actors. Killing a plant monster by watering it has to be the funniest way to win. The song for the ceremony sounded really good.

I'm kinda surprised how so well put together this video was given the content not being that much, nor the duration being that long 😅. Makes sense seeing how this portion of the quest is technically very short in the game anyways, so I appreciate you guys choosing to drag out the story to make it feel more episodic (despite this project going moreso in chapters). Because of this, I'll try to my best in analyzing this one 😁. Just to reiterate, you guys did a fantastic job with both the editing and music for this project. I still can't get enough of the vocal arrangements used whenever Link is using the Wind Waker. It's just more livelier the clearer the vocals are ☺️. My favorite re-orchestrated track in this video would have to be the Ceremony Ih The Woods, especially when combined with the added vocal harmonies. I don't normally do this, ht just be a use of how great the song turned out I would like to give props to both Adel Almas and Jacob Zeleny for that piece 😁. Quick commemoration for all the vocal talent that was given in this video, everyone did a stellar job 😄. T.J. Anthony and Alex Lee were hilarious as Zephos and The Fishman respectively. They both really put in a lot of cooky charisma into these two characters, helping in making this world feel more lively at sea, just as it is on land. I honestly can't wait to hear how Cyclos will sound like, I'm sure it'll be fun 😆. Shado_Temple's voicework of The Great Deku Tree puts him on pwr with John Doyle as The King Of Red Lions in terms of an exquisite performance 🙂. I also enjoyed his rendition of the character here, as it felt like he's improved the performace since the first time he did it in the original project. Nice 😉. Lastly, much like how it was in the original project and in the BOTW project, the voices for Koroks verge on being both absolutely adorable and absolutely hilarious at the same time 😂. You guys always seem to impress me with how high or how weird you're gonna make these little guys sound. Much like with Shadow_Temple, I'm very glad Arielle Somerville came back to reprise her role as Makar, she just has the cutest voice for him 🥰. The pitch might be a bit different, but the inflection is still the same, so I enjoyed it nonetheless. I also love how she added some ad-libbing for Makar during his time of capture, gave her more time in her infectious performance 😊. With that being said, I'm happy that you all managed to complete this next segment in the story. You guys obviously put a lot of work into this video, and it shows in both the voicework and editing 😉. Need I say more, I was whimsically entertained 😆. Congrats on another job well done, keep up the work. I can't wait to see more that you have in store of this retelling of one of your past and oldest projects 😁👍.
