I have gotten plastic surgery myself, but simply because I wanted to look and feel better. That's the problem with society, they put on pedestal all the blessed people who were born with incredible genetics who are simply just beautiful, they won the genetic lottery, but if an average or simpleton person wants to make themselves look better, they are ridiculed or demonized. They will tell you that you didn't need it, they will gaslight you saying you looked better before, etc but then they go ahead and put beautiful people on a pedestal. This proves society values innate traits vs non innate. This is why most people will NOT reveal their plastic surgery including celebrities. They want others to think they simply won the genetic lottery and who can blame them? Society is like that. We all know that others value innate traits more than anything else. Celebrities may have fame, money but they are still people with the same insecurities and concerns as anyone else. Of course they don't want others to think they had work done, they want people to think is all god given for obvious reasons and is the same reason why regular folk get plastic surgery, they want to look better and also have others think they were just blessed by genetics. Is it cheating? Maybe but the world was never fair to begin with

Yes, sterioids, hormones were my idea too, but that should have taken years and with seriously heavy dosages. Also his skin looks tighter, all around his face, forehead etc. His cheeks are more pronounced as well. So it can be some kind of swelling or long term change after a certain treatment. Intersting. The pressure from hollywood society and its standards is a great point.

To me the broken jaw thing just can't be true, he broke it in 2013. In 2014 and 2015 specifically he still looked like he always did, no noticeable differences from previous years. I've been wondering why his face seemed like it changed so much in recent time. If this was because of a broken jaw wouldn't something have started changing drastically after he was healed from the broken jaw, around 2014, 2015 or 2016. I'm not a doctor but it seems odd that a broken jaw injury from 2013 is going to just automatically change your face so drastically 8 years later. Convenient excuse or something more? Who cares really, we'll probably never really know. It's none of our business, it's his life.

I appreciate Dr. Zelken's sense of discretion and diplomacy, but personally, I think it's absolutely clear Zac Efron had plastic surgery. That's fine. I've had it too. I personally preferred his pre-surgery look--I think it was more delicate, subtle, and refined--but I don't think he looks bad now, just different. To me, he's an example of someone who treated features that already looked good (he already had strong cheekbones and a strong jawline), and in some cases that does lead to someone looking, not better or worse, but just different. With all of that said, the only opinion that actually matters is his. I hope he loves his results, and I hope that the media attention hasn't caused him to substitute his own aesthetic taste with the public's, or hurt his ability to enjoy his results, if they're what he wanted. As a guy who has also had plastic surgery, I wish I could talk to him. Zac, if you ever find your way to this comment, ignore the haters!
