Great video on straps. The wife got me a MCL band for Christmas. I love it. Will get some more bands from him. Crazy stupid thing happened yesterday. Our 16 year old son went with some friends to go fishing. He followed his friends driving suvs and pickups through a field with his Mini Cooper. The tow truck got the car to the shop. His excuse “you’ll hadn’t told me I could go off road with it”. I don’t know what else to say about that. Guess I learned my lesson about giving instructions n where a Mini Cooper can be driven.

Thanks for the opportunity! This happened at work. I have been a nurse in a critical care cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery unit for 17 + years. One day last year, I was orienting a new nurse to our unit. It was odd because this was a seasoned nurse who had been in home care for almost twenty years. So she was basically shadowing me and I noticed one of my post op patients did not look right from the get go. Without getting too detailed, she presented signs that the lining of her heart was filling with fluid. I relayed this to my provider who began communicating with the surgeon. Within minutes the surgeon was on our floor. With him in the room she deteriorated into cardiac arrest. The surgeon reopened her chest at bedside and did CPR via cardiac massage. Amidst the seeming chaos but actually a frenzy of great teamwork I noticed his Milgauss. When everything settled and as they were wheeling the patient to the OR, I did manage to say “nice Milgauss”. To which he said thanks. The new nurse decided to stay in home care.

I’ll make this simple. I was watching you tube watch videos with my son when suddenly I had a Crohns attack. Needless to say that this was unpleasant. When I rejoined my son he was watching this very video. It was serendipitous that he had clicked on your Zelos and strap video. I love your quirky nature and I also buy many of my straps from Mykola at Man Cave Leather. Now I need to take care of that chair I was sitting on.

THANKS for the opportunity Curt 👍🏽 Craziest thing ever happened to me : I was supposed to have traveled overseas to write an Exam to get my License as a Medical Professional. Long story short : The College sent an Examiner to MY country to oversee and ensure I ( and 2 other colleagues ) write my exam, without us having to travel...something I think the College had NEVER done in the history of its existence. I saved a Ton of money and got to write my exam in the comfort of the local Clinic, where I worked. I PASSED of course. 😎

The craziest thing to happen to me is I just started my career in the field of aviation (definitely not crazy so I must have a boring life), so a divers watch would be of perfect, peak irony to wear to this job. Good luck to all! btw, your video on the SKX013 helped me make that my first automatic watch purchase several years ago.

Not sure if it's the craziest thing but I arranged for a friend to come over to mine for a jam years ago (he brought his guitar and amp). Before we started playing we had a smoke and got pretty stoned. When we eventually decided to start playing we were shocked to see that the amp's electrical cord wasn't long enough to stretch to the extension cable that was plugged into the wall socket. The two of us spent several minutes looking at the amp in the middle of the floor, and to the socket, trying to figure out how to get around this problem. "Should we get another extension cable?", "Should we forget the jam session?". It then came to us in a flash of inspiration: "Why not just move the amp slightly closer to the socket?". Hash/weed really doesn't improve your problem solving skills. The funny thing was that we realised, after coming up with the solution, that we'd had the exact same problem the last time we'd had a practice.

Back in 2012 I and my wife decided to go watch a new Prometheus movie. We bought tickets for a mid-week somewhere on the afternoon screen, so it will be not too crowded. The Cinema was a bit far away from our home (cause it was in 3D). After we came there we took some snacks and drinks and went to take our sits. The light was already off and trailers started, so we used our phones low to the ground to find our places. Once we found our places we sit down. With all the popcorn it took some time to since the space is limited and it was dark. Once we were sited something attracted my attention like I was seeing something with a peripheral vision. I turned my head and there were two of our closest friends sitting right next to us. They froze with mouths full of popcorn and looked at us with very surprised eyes. It turned out that with no previous contact without even a word for a week or two, we booked tickets in the same random cinema, same day, same screen, same row, and sits were right next to each other🤯🤯🤯 (David Blaine stare)

Hmm - clipped a deer on the highway at night (after 10 p.m.) at 80+ mph after it ran across the highway and washed out the front tire. Had body armor jacket/gloves and full face helmet, and low-sided it (thank God). I slid for hundreds of feet, mainly because my legs/lower body never touched the ground after the initial impact....in fact this was my first time not wearing my body armor pants (was wearing dress pants as I was coming home from work) and only had a small bit of road rash on my right knee. I guess if you saw the crash happen, I looked like a dart sliding down the highway on my head and upper back/shoulders with my legs trailing in the air behind me (and my work laptop on my back in my backpack - which survived and still worked, albeit a little scratched up). My bike (Suzuki V-Strom 650) slid beside me on its side for what seemed like forever, I was watching it throw sparks and then it slowly started accelerate away and I started slowing down. As I was slowing toward a stop, my legs wanted to come over my head, but I knew if that happened and I started tumbling I'd probably break something, so it took all I could to keep my legs from doing that. I finally came to rest in the breakdown lane on my back - did the self check to make sure everything worked (I was sore, notably my right hip, shoulder and knee from the initial impact) and laid there for several seconds. I heard 3 cars pass by, but nobody stopped....I was like wtf. I slowly got up and walked toward my bike, then realized all the cars stopped where my bike was, and the people were kinda freaking out as they saw the bike and no rider (bike ended up around 100-120 feet past me). One of the guys was a firefighter/EMT and another worked at the hospital I ended up going to (she offered me a ride, I should've went with her and saved the $650 ambulance bill and 20+ min wait for it to show up). EMT had me in a neck brace and shoulder sling before the 3 state troopers showed up. The bike didn't look too bad, but it was totaled/unrideable. Got to the hospital, they didn't seem to care too much.....spent 3+ hrs there and did a few scans, didn't really say much except I had a separated shoulder and nothing was broken (turns out I had a torn meniscus in my right knee, which I found out a year later). Hip was banged up, but not broken. They discharged me at 2 a.m. and I tried calling a few people, but nobody was answering their phone at that hour. Soooo, I grabbed my helmet, jacket and backpack, and walked 2+ miles home in hospital pants (this was in 2008, before Uber). Got home just before 3 a.m., and then started feeling the onset of a concussion (they seemed to miss that at the hospital). I was exhausted after working 12-15+ hour days 7 days a week (had an emergency at work the prior 2 weeks), so I went to sleep and hoped I woke up (obviously I did lol), as you're not supposed to sleep with a concussion. Racked up 20,000 miles on that motorcycle, haven't ridden one since.

I will never ever forget going to that “days of thunder” concert .... crazy shit....

Maybe not the craziest but one of the crazier stories: did a backpacking trip with my dad in Kauai about 10 years ago. We were hiking the Nualolo / Awa’awapuhi Loop and we got to the trail that links the loop toward the end of the ridges, and man, I thought we were goners. I swear that section of trail can’t be wider than 10 inches, and on one side you’ve got a crumbly red dirt wall against you and on the other it has to be like a 1000 ft drop. My dad accidentally knocked loose a piece of clay and it went tumbling down the side of the mountain, made my knees weak lol. I do a lot of hiking in the southeast continental states but man, the hiking in Hawaii is on another level lol.

Curt!! Thanks for the strap! Man those Mancave straps are so sick. Crazy story, I woke up yesterday thinking it was Monday and got 30 min into getting ready and the TV news said Happy Sunday and it halted me in my tracks and I was like F this I'm going back to sleep. Now my sleep schedule is all screwed up. So here I am watching your video at almost 6am east coast time. Once again those Mancave straps are so freaking nice!

I was 10 years old when I traveled to Colombia with my Mom and sister to visit family. My mom had purchased plane tickets through America Airlines well in advance of our trip, however she met a lady who was also going to Colombia around the same time we were scheduled to and told her of an awesome deal with Avianca Airlines. We were going to arrive a week early and stay a week later for about $500 cheaper. My mom cancelled our tickets for American Airlines. While we were on a ferry ride between the island of San Andres and a smaller island just off the coast of San Andres, my mom started to cry. I was surprised because we were having such a great time. Then I found out that she was having a random conversation with another tourist and found out that the American Airlines flight that we were suppose to be on crashed, killing 151 of 155 people onboard.

Around late 2014, I was living on Oahu’s Gold Coast in front of Diamond Head. Saw what I thought was a night diver coming in from the reef out at Tongs. On my word, this light that I saw come from under the water slowly rose up at least 40 feet....blew up to the size of a beach ball and took off into the sky with indescribable speed. I don’t talk about this often, but given the opportunity, I figured now was as good a time as any. This story isn’t meant to be shock and awe. It’s as simple as I told it and that’s what freaks me out.

Hey curt, I once went on a little holiday with friends and stayed in a caravan. My buddy was cooking breakfast one morning and I had to poop. I was just finishing up and because of the confined situation I stood up to wipe. Unbeknown to me I hadn't pinched it off at the end. Also Unbeknown to me the little pop hit the floor. It was known to me when I stood on it with my bare foot! I had to try and cover up my predicament whilst not pis#ing myself. Thanks for the opportunity!

The craziest thing that happened to me was a nervous breakdown from drug and alcohol abuse at the age of 20 and I woke up in a hospital the next day. Late evening, I was cycling home from work through the industrial area of Queens, NY, when I noticed a very aggressive back-alley dog was closing in fast, charging me with a furiously unknown to the debts of hell . Down shifting in a hurry, and standing on my pedals, I pushed forward at the very best of my ability. I maintained my best speed, and the dog finally gave up. Up ahead of me, a hobo on a clanky bicycle was slowly heading my direction and ultimately in the direction of the frustrated tired dog. I tried to warn the man, but he kept going. All I manage to say to him, as I gasped for air was "dog running!"

i don't know if i wish i had a more "crazy life" just so i can tell the stories.. anyways what popped into my head was the time i lost an old trail in a forest glade, for the life of me i could not find it anywhere.. so i just took out my map and compass to look for a straight route towards where i was going and while i was checking the map a dear walked out of the forest just 10 meters away. it did not spot me for a while through the tall grass.. it was both a very peaceful and beautiful experience but frightening as-well. i realized just how remote the place was and i was alone, as i usually am up in the mountains, in a part of the world where the forests still have wildlife (the largest bear population in Europe).. not that crazy of a story but a very beautiful feeling and memory..

The craziest thing which happended to me was approxmiatly 20 years ago when I was about to travel with my Mum to the UK visiting my Grandma on an extended weekend trip. At the time I lived in Berlin, while my Mum had to go on a train for a couple of hours and meet me in Central Berlin. Booking those flight tickets I was very conservative giving us a few hours to play with just in case the train would be late. Anyway, on that particular day I received the first call from my Mum that all was fine and she was on the train and ontime. An hour later she called letting me know that there is a problem with the train and she may have some unknown delay. Finaly she called, telling me that the train had a complete breakdown and that there will be some kind of transportation but she definitly won't make it for the flight and that she encouraged me to fly on my own. We agreed to keep calm and wait and see and that I would wait for her to pick her up in Berlin once she arrived. When she arrived in Berlin I felt that there may be still a tiny chance to catch that flight and so we decided taking a taxi to the airport and not to be dependend again on public transport. Unfortunetly it was rush hour and we arrived at the airport 90 minutes late. At the checkin counter a lady informed us that it's too late for the original scheduled departure time but as the aircraft is 2 hours late she is going to accept us. Wow, we quick passed security, arrived at the gate and listened to the boarding information while everybody else was pissed about the delayed departure. My Mum was crying for happiness when we were going on board of the aircraft. What an adventure and a happy end.

My story is nothing close to a bond movie but it shows how crazy (other) people are. I was in high school, got into a fight and got myself a fractured supraorbital which needed stitches. School medical unit had no means to do that so I was sent away to the ER. Well, I was told to get a taxi, but as I was a broke ass student and everybody else (my friends) were in class, I had to walk to the hospital where they fixed me and I was sent me home. Again, I walked, but I was fine, bleeding stopped and I had full vision. As I arrived home, my good ol' dad asked me me why am I not at school, so I explained him everything that happened. The parental love bursted in his eyes and soul and he started to punch me with his fists asking me why I didn't call him in the first place to let him know about it (mind you, I hated talking to him for any reason, as that always came with some high risks) , how did I dare go directly to hospital to get my head fixed before I'd let him know lol?! Luckily, I was able to protect my head injury as he was throwing fists at random, eventually I turned my back as I considered it safer for my freshly stitched face, so all I got was a few bruises on my back and, of course, more pain, both physical and emotional. Ah, good old quality time spent with my family, I never miss that 😍

Craziest thing that's happened was getting stuck up on a mountain after taking a detour with my ex girlfriend to see a 4 story waterfall at Mt Baldy. She had scaled up to the top of a waterfall and I got halfway since all the rocks I stepped on would fall apart, she was 5 ft. She explored the top area and I chilled at the bottom. I hear some yelling later on and saw that she had fallen and gotten stuck behind some bushes with no way for her to get back up and only a straight drop to the rocks at the bottom. Long story short I had to call 911, waited for 3 hours until a helicopter found us, we used some mini led flashlights to signal our position. They circled for about 30 min and they send a smaller helicopter since the area we were stuck in was small and narrow . They had gotten me first since I attempted to scale the waterfall and only got 3/4 of the way up and stayed put. After the guy dropped on a chord he jumped up slowly and grabbed me with his arms and legs and they air lifted me way above the mountain and into the clouds. As we went up quickly I had hit my nose on the legs of the helicopter, bled everywhere as I was getting in. They dropped me at an ambulance, stopped the bleeding and got my ex right after. They sent us to the hospital and I had a fractured nose. I had also lost my only set of keys while getting airlifted. So we had to call a friend to take us back to the hiking trail at 3 am. Hike the trail with a fractured swollen nose for a few miles in pitch black darkness, cross a small but strong flowing river to find my keys where they had airlifted me. That is the craziest thing that's ever happened to me.

Nice job. I kinda like the white one, to be honest. Fun summertime vibe to it.... I would love to win the watch.... Not sure this is the 'craziest" thing that ever happened to me, but it's up there.... So I had some chest pain... So I go to my Doctor... Sit in the exam room... His nurse comes in, hooks me up to the ekg, lets it run for awhile.... Doctor comes in, says it's fine... If I want to, I can go to this other hospital, and have a stress test... Okay. This is Thursday.... Friday is a long day... but I'm thinking, what, they just told me I'm fine... It was really the worst when I was doing something... Like, the parking lot at work, walking up to the third floor on the back stairs with my backpack full of gear, was really tough.... Saturday morning, I wake up, and I'm like, I haven't even MOVED yet, and my chest is tight, and I can't get my breath... Man, screw this, I'm going in.... So I drive out to the other hospital, and just walk into the emergency room, and tell them I have a lot of chest pain... Just from driving, and walking across the parking lot, I was wiped... So they put me in a room, put a couple electrodes on my chest... this is all still pretty chill... the Nurse is joking with me, hey, you walked in, can't be that bad, right?? Hahahah!, Yeah, haha!, exactly, it's all fine.... My new friend is looking at the big monitor... and she like, trails off, in the middle of the next joke.... And then she turns around and yells out the door "Candace!!! Get in here!!!!!" Couple more people come in, the one guy looks at the screen, and goes "oh shit" and runs out of the room, and I can hear him yelling at people out there... the other new lady is looking at the screen, looking at me, looking at the screen... She like yells in my face "PATRICK!! CAN YOU HEAR ME!!!!!" I'm like, yeah, I can hear you... I'm right here, your voice carries..... Geeez.... Do you know what day it is!!!! Yeah, It's Saturday.... Obviously I'm not at work..... she looks back at the screen, shakes her head.... Tells my new friend unbelievable... he's still conscious..... I'm gonna go get some people. Stay here. If anything changes, call the code.... and she bolts out of the room.... So now it's just me and the first nurse again, and I say I was gonna wax my car and go to a car show... I'm getting the feeling that ain't gonna happen.... She laughs, she's like no, probably not... Tell me about your car, Patrick. Talk to me. What is this car.... So I start talking... Maybe a minute later, like 7 people pile into this little exam room, and they have more gear with them, and they are reclining the thing I'm laying on, and putting 100 electrodes on me... This one dude gets in my face and starts yelling "Patrick! Stay with me!!! Talk to me Patrick!!!" I'm like, what the hell... Is this guy my strength coach from high school football? He's gonna scream in my face until I rep out??? He's giving me a headache already, he just showed up 5 seconds ago.... I hear my favorite nurse in the background "ask him about his car, he'll talk to you all day...." heh heh heh!!! Geeez, sorry, I thought you wanted me to talk.... So a new guy, some doctor, has stolen my Nurse's spot at the monitor, and he's yelling too... Stay still! Lay still!!! Check those electrodes, this can't be right, he's conscious... Yelling back & forth, putting another 50 electrodes on me.... I'm starting to think, like, wtf man.... Now, an older dude walks in.... This is like, the moment in the Bugs Bunny cartoon, where "Leupold" comes in, to conduct the orchestra.... EVERYBODY shuts the F up... Silence... Just the monitors beeping..... He looks at the monitor... Looks at me... Looks at the monitor.... Then in his big deep voice, he very calmly says "Call in my team. Get him in the lab." And walks out.... I'm like, the Lab??? Is this good or bad??? I shouldn't of signed that donor card, they're gonna harvest my organs.... Well, NOW everyone is like, moving with a purpose... IV started, BP machine hooked up, people scrambling in & out of the room.... Strength Coach guy is still yelling at me, and I remember thinking "I'm doing really good at ignoring him, he's just fading into the background, this is nice...." So then he really gets excited, he's hitting me in the face, the guy by the monitor is yelling at him... so I open my eyes, I'm like dude, seriously, all this yelling, is really making me nuts... And he's all come on man, we almost lost you there, you gotta stay with me, come on, yell at me, get in my face, tell me how much I'm pissing you off!!! so someone else in the room is like, Kevin, the IV is started.... and then he leaves... the IV clearly was started, Mission control had cleared me for launch on a space voyage apparently, because I'm starting to float.... Everybody is gone, and then the Doctor guy behind the screen is like "What's your pain level now??" I'm like, zero, dude, I feel great... He's like, amazing... Your scan is now completely normal.... that is wild.... Uhhh, okay, I guess??? So now like 5 people get me up on a gurney.... Now I get wheeled down the hall... As we get in there, I'm like, ahhh yes, a Cardiac Cath Lab... Now it all makes sense.... Super cold in there... I was like, how do these people work, in this freezer?? Unbelievable... I can't see them, but I can hear the "team" members.... They're all "I just got home from the bar an hour ago" and "You got home?? I was still out at an after hours thing when my pager went off.... hahahaha!" I'm like, whoa, I hope these people are really good at this, and they can do it while they're drunk.... Holy crap.... But the drugs, they really take the care away.... so now Leupold leans over me, he's all masked up & stuff... Someone is attaching big plates to my chest & side, which was baffling.... So he says You ready? I'm like, sure, why not?? Last thing I remember was, a real pain & pressure, down in my groin, and I was like, ohhh, here we go, they're finding an artery, and they're gonna go in..... I woke up in a room, and I was like, whoa.... I haven't felt this good in years.... Years, literally.... I got a stent. I was 100% blocked in the "widowmaker" artery.... The rest apparently were wide open, on their scans..... I've really felt pretty good ever since... Besides all the constant harping from Doctors to lay off the Big Bacon Classic Doubles, and crazy advice like that.... It was pretty crazy..... As Denzel Washington said in that Azazel movie, "...and THAT is the story of how I ALMOST died....."

Most interesting sorry I can think of.... is playing baseball as a kid. It was already getting dark. someone hit the ball into some bushes. I went to look for the ball and ended with a twig , stinging me in the eye. My eye was bleeding bad. Went to the ER, my eye was saved. But I had to a wear an eye patch for like 3 weeks.

I was chased by a police helicopter back in high school. I drove the speed limit so it was a low speed chase. Lol All this because my idiot friends threw some pool furniture in the pool at an apartment complex. They realized we were dumb kids and let us go. Lol

Honestly, my life has been pretty boring so far. But i remember we were celebrating my birthday years back in my girlfriend's back yard, having a party and everything, and we found out the next day that someone had been stabbed in the restaurant right across the street while we were partying. I guess that's kinda crazy? Anyway, thanks for the giveaway!

As a child, I loved to play football and always wore a watch. So one day a boy fell in front of me and I jumped over him, fell and broke my watch. They bought me a new one and in 1 week exactly the same story was repeated with the same boy.

Once when I was on a run in college 2010 (Milwaukee, WI) I saw D Wade and LeBron James come out of a Subway downtown. Screamed “awwwwww SHIT” and threw up my hand and got a high five ✋🏼 from LeBron. Ignored D-Wade completely 😂. I did not run with a phone in those days and didn’t get a picture. No one believes me.

I was 8 or 9 years old. I think. Well I was young. And like a young idiot playing with a lighter in the forest behind my house, I started a little grass fire and ran and put it out cause I was such a good little fireman. It was a dry summer and by the 4th time of me being a confident fire fighter shit got out of control. I tried stomping out the little fire but shit went up real quick. I ran down to my house screaming and the real fire department was called. My dad got the hose going and was lucky enough to stop it right before it hit his truck and the house. The real firemen still had not figured how they were gonna get their truck behind the house. I played it off like I was walking in the forest and stumbled across a fire and heroically called for help. No one questioned why all my leg hairs were burnt and shoes were black. My dad figured it all out and I got my ass whooped for it real bad. I realize this isn't as crazy as most stories but it sure was back then. I was deemed a Pyro by my parents. They were probably right. Fucking punk ass kid.
