That "white' looks so good. The dial texture seems to match my original Spearfish copper, which is really beautiful. It's nice to see a 'white' from Zelos that isn't full lume (though I dig the full lume). All colorways are very well executed and this white may be the best looking of the four with the orange bringing up the rear in my opinion. For me, I'll likely just be content with my original Spearfish, but if I didn't have it, I'd definitely consider the white, mete, or aventurine here. The bezel thickness increase is surprising and doesn't seem necessary. I'm not a movement snob and would have preferred a "lesser" movement for lesser money, but I get that this is like a top-level, elevated Swordfish and the Swiss movement justifiably contributes to that, so it's warranted. I do understand that movement is important to others and for those, I think this is another fair price/deal coming from Zelos and they have to be really looking forward to this release.

Agreed on all counts! This is probably my favorite Zelos white dial to date. Cheers

Update - This model will launch on the Zelos site on December 13, 2022. Good luck everyone!

Great video. May I ask, is the range of tool free adjust similar on the old and new clasps? I'd like to not hear that we are sacrificing sliding length on the updated clasp.
@JonathanTReviews2 жыл бұрын
It should be fairly comparable. There appears to be 5 slots on this clasp, which I believe is the same as the prior versions, or at least close. Cheers

Thanks for the video. I love the dial colorways, but the size is a bit much for me. Thanks for helping me make a decision

Great review. I love that silvery white!

Thanks buddy! Me too! It can look boring next to the others at first impression but I think it's a sleeper hit. Super classy with a great texture and subtle color shifts. Cheers

@@JonathanTReviews yeah I was kinda ignoring this colorway since I'm probably going for mete but this could potentially replace my frost/blue Mako. Hmm.....

I've owned that one as well. While it's also great, this is possibly my favorite white dial Zelos to date. It's worth giving up the full lume effect to get this gorgeous finish. Cheers

When the 1st day I got my Glycine Airman with the SW330, I got shock also when I wound it. Smooth until I even thought is the movement got problem but is not.

Thanks for sharing that feedback! It is truly crazy smooth. No perceptible resistance, noise, etc. Cheers

Love that subtle GMT hand myself! How many clicks on that quick-adjust? Looks like the new Monta one, which also takes some practice to just move one click. Great movement! How’s the accuracy of yours so far? Any scratches on that shiny clasp? Thanks for the helpful review, J!

It is nice for my usage as well with not being a necessary complication, but there when I want it. I'll try and confirm shortly but I think it's around 5. I've been impressed with the movement so far as well! Mine has been running a touch slow though it could be due to low power and/or being stored slightly 12 o'clock up (Mirage watch box). Not that I've seen yet! Hopefully it stays that way. My pleasure! Cheers

Was it necessary to make the bezel that thick or was that a design choice?
@JonathanTReviews2 жыл бұрын
I can't say definitively, but I definitely believe it was necessary. It would have likely been easier, more economical, and more aesthetically desirable to keep the original. I suspect the added pinion length, 4th hand and possibly sapphire insert contributed to it. Cheers
@AlexanderB.2 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the opposite about the bezel insert, I prefer the brushed ceramic over the sapphire, but that's just me. And I don't get the polished middle section of the clasp, as the bracelet is fully brushed thankfully. Other than that, it's an amazing watch as always from Zelos.
@JonathanTReviews2 жыл бұрын
Too funny 😁 I wouldn't always prefer sapphire but I do here. The clasp gives a bit of bling you can hide away 😉 It's like a mullet for a watch, business on the top, party on the bottom. Cheers

I am looking to get back into watches, would you get the Spearfish or some thing like the Sealander from Christopher Ward in the $1000 range??

Although my last name begins with Z and that Z on the clasp looks mighty sharp

They're both great options and check a lot of the same boxes. Stylistically, it's going to be primarily based on which speaks to you more. I really like the Zelos colorway options but the CW is no slouch either. I think the Zelos offers more value for the money. Solid finishing and extra little finishing touches (ex: hardened coating) for less money. The CW thinner profile and slightly smaller case are nice attributes. Hope this helps. Cheers
