i have to give to zemo(hes one of steve rogers greatest rivals/allies and enemy) hes very similar in the relationship with amara the enchantress is to thor of asgard(they can thug it out with raw power and intelligence with no regard to anyones elses bs) i love zemo stance with black panther and he was genuinely being nice to complete utter stranger(and in turn black panther felt all the raw rage and emotions turns zemo too) but as a ruler and king, black panther didnt want this scene to be a form of compelment of dispacement of what the damages zemo did to the group. even though he was bringing everything full circle within his notions was sadly misguided with his own loss of family. zemo was showing the human aspect within all of us(as the mother who lost her son during the fight with avenger's thugging it out during the slovia event) wanda is going through all her emotions as well its not her fault either(yes she caused many deaths. but its no excuse) you wondering where magneto is at during all this? hes off fighting with xavier and the xmen(while grabbing sources for his sovereign island called genoshia).. to be honest his hands are tied.. i understand tony's raw emotions as well(hes the most richest guy yet the dumbest illogical person ever!!) he wanted to centeralize "priotize world peace" he said this in the court hearings, against justin hammer/the senators/the military top ranking officers. he said this on national f king tv, he didnt care. he made a spectucle joke saying the ironman suit is high tech prostasis the arrogance of this man(i see why obadiah stein was on the fence saying "the company and board of stark industries has rights too..") but again, tony allow them to buy the rights. hook, line and sinker(i dont care he killed my mom, line was epic and raw at its core.. sadly loved that line easy 5/10 speech) bucky i have the easiest time understand cause i can place him with vision before and after the mind stone bs.. he is literal prisoner of war(he gets a red tape of passes for 100 years and than on) same with cap. but back to bucky, imma give a few things with comparsion to vision: "he remembers all the missions and deaths.' only emotion he feels genuiniely is regret thats my personal assessment and we can debate it later(its no excuse however hear me out) in the world of human condition vs the creation of ai its no differences on matters of moral vs immoral "it just is.." ironman quoted it best "we create our own demons." bucky has his mind constantly without his express permission to "erased, scrambled, scattered to whatever the front or back end begins.' he is what he is,and from his core know this, but hes been trying to right wrongs for years(only captian and him knows this, and futhermore its not easy being like this when the whole world is against you) i have more to comment on but ill leave it for the next upload.. :P

Whereas Steve doesn't care if he destroys the Avengers, if he kills Tony, if he kills Peter, as long as he keeps his Bucky-baby safe. And nice to know that Captain "America" doesn't care about democracy. They took a vote and YOU LOST. (4-2, Wanda abstaining.) The whole point about democracy is that you abide by the results, you Ayn Rand-sucking selfish asshole. Yes, it would suck if the Avengers needed to fill out five forms everytime they wanted to go to the bathroom. But Steve's "I do what I want when I want, and if you don't like it, I'll fight you, too" garbage is the *opposite* of fighting evil. Police forces are licensed; Steve just wants to be king. Nobody tells HIM what to do, nyah-nyah. What is needed is to negotiate a better deal. (Rhodey saved President Ellis's life in IM3; he can at least get a hearing.) Probably the best answer is that the Avengers can be a rapid-response team, but they are subject to review after the fact, and individual nations can suspend individual Avengers, temporarily. If Wanda has to skip the next trip to Nigeria, the team will survive.

This is probably my favourite MCU movie. The casualties and property damage from previous movies is finally addressed, the villain has some actual motivation besides just wanting to take over the world, and everyone gets their moment to shine, even the new characters. I also love the way they tie-in Tony's history to Bucky, which if I'm not mistaken, was only a thing in the movies, not the comics.

Zemo is the best example of a villian, " i knew i couldnt beat them, stronger men than me have tried but if i could get them to kill each other.. tookk me 2 days to find their bodies and the avengers.... they went home". marvel really needs to hire a director to helm a few key movie roles to fully start the next saga.

The light that Peter has at the end is a nod to the one he has on his belt buckle, which looks something like this. It was in the comics but I remember it being used more in the 90's animated show. I agree with your take on a multi-country oversight committee controlling when or if the Avengers can be deployed. We've already seen how bad that decision making can be - in the first "Avengers" movie, the World Security Council ordered the deployment of a nuclear missile on the island of Manhattan. If it wasn't for Iron Man guiding the missile through the portal, millions would have died and the New York area would have been radioactive for many years afterward. Those that didn't die in the immediate area would have probably wish they had. And that's not even talking about the property damage from the explosion. And on the other side of things, that committee would be a bureaucracy. Those take time to make decisions. When the Avengers are needed, it is usually a situation that can't wait for a bureaucracy to make up its mind to act.

Those of us who read the comic books in the 1970's *DON"T* trust General "Thunderbolt" Ross. That man is power hungry, and he was after the Hulk. He also HATED that his daughter was in love with Bruce Banner. Suuure, the UN will have oversight over the Avengers due to the Sokovia Accords, but guess where Ross will be? He'll be the one managing the Avengers. Tony was emotionally compromised throughout the ENTIRE movie. First, Pepper, then being confronted by Charlie Spencer's mother, and finally finding out the truth behind his mother's death. Tony's on a redemption arc and he's just not stable. Steve's not emotionally compromised because he knows Bucky's not at fault and he knows that Bucky needs help. Zemo wrecked everything. You will see him again. Great reactions. I loved how you were thinking all the way through this movie, putting the clues together.

Except it is connected to that. No one ever addresses or even acknowledges that Steve's fixation on Bucky is the reason he got distracted in Lagos, that the only reason Wanda had to step in to try and contain the bomb is that Cap was rendered unable to function because Rumlow said Barnes' name. We'll put aside that Steve shouldn't be allowed to make the call that the things Bucky did while brainwashed don't matter just because they're friends, that he had no right to expect Tony to be instantly okay after watching his parents being violently murdered, again just because Bucky is his friend. Steve decided what was best by withholding that information, just like he decided that he wasn't going to agree to the Accords because his judgement is flawless and everyone else's isn't.
@sheerri3 ай бұрын
@@MsSwordwolf What I meant was The Accords as an entity of legislation have nothing to do with the issue of Steve and Bucky’s emotional drama. The actual document itself goes way beyond them and Steve being “judge” of right and wrong. It affects “enhanced” individuals but essentially stripping them of basic human rights such as travel, identification, privacy, etc. unless they sign the Accords. Steve was in the right when bringing up the way this flawed document could easily be used to fuel dwelling political agendas which it clearly is in universe given the leap from it to what’s happening to teenaged superheroes and to extraterrestrials. The main conflict in “Civil War” ended up boiling down to the emotional breakdown between Steve and Tony surrounding Bucky, but that wasn’t the main issue in the first place. (And yes, Steve was distracted in Lagos but its stated that the Accords started being drafted after Sokovia, which is on Tony and Bruce for creating Ultron in the first place.) I will always side with Steve on the actual issue, which is The Accords.

Legal Eagle analyzed the legal aspects of the Sokovia Accords. It's an interesting video... suffice it to say, it would not fly. That said, the existing laws against vigilantism would put quite a wrench in any superhero movie. I love that both sides make sense here. I'm Team Cap because in the end, I plain don't trust bureaucracy, even if it's well-meant. But on the other hand, while Tony and Steve are both good and well-intentioned men and the collateral damage is incidental. But who says that people like that will always be the ones making the decisions? Then again, the accords require surveillance of all "enhanced" people, which, um... yeah. Among other things, it includes Tony and Natasha who are, respectively, smart and well-trained--they have no superpowers or enhanced strength or anything. So is every smart kid subject to surveillance? Every blackbelt martial artist? Where does it stop?

Here are some basic MCU power scaling. First thing to know the interview differ from the comic books some characters are weaker some characters are stronger. For example the comic book Captain America maximum strength with around 4 tons. In Captain America first avenger his strength level was around 6 tons and and with every appearance he gets stronger and the reason that is so different from the comic book is he has a bigger weakness in the MCU. If Captain America does not constantly work out he will lose his super strength which means he gets stronger every time they show him because he constantly needs to work out. So by the time of the civil war movie Steve strength level is around 12 tons. Spider-Man is 10 times stronger than Captain America. Peter also has durable skin equal to Kevlar enhanced healing factor that can heal near fatal wounds within a day. A spider sense that warns him of eminent danger an increase speed which combined give him the ability to dodge a machine gun bullet from point-blank range. Bucky strength is around 4 tons not including his middle arm which strength output seems to be around 18 tons. With bucky super soldier serum if he doesn't work out he won't lose his super strength. The heart shape Herb T'Chala was given that is similar to the super soldier serum but he doesn't lose if he doesn't work out and in fact he gets stronger over time. Ant-Man strength is proportional to his side.

Tony never gave any of the Avengers a dime he doesn't provide cash for clean up at any of the Avengers battles. The organization that actually cleans up the battles and that only means the actual technology or foreign debris possibly from space. It's damage control which is a joint organization between Stark industries and the government. Yes he gave the MIT graduates money for their research but that's only to further his own legacy for the next Tony Stark which he will get credit for whatever they invent. There were more people on the ground than could've been in those building floors. We saw what it did to that building - imagine the open market . . . Wanda did nothing wrong, and they needed something to spark this films premise. I still wish Capt. America had gotten his own 3rd movie since this is Avengers 2.5 A good example of collateral damage was the 'SWAT' team dropping in shooting - hope no one was on the other side of those walls where the bullets hit. Adding too much reality dulls the shine of fantasy.

The Avengers didn’t launch a nuclear missile at Manhattan. If anything, the governments should report to the Avengers. Not the other way around.

michelle, i didn't see the Twilight movies, but i remember them asking are you team jacob or team edward, i still don't know what team i am on for that

This is the movie where I began to dislike Tony Stark. He created Ultron because his ptsd inspired him to play God. Sokovia is on Tony's hands, so what does do? He throws his team under the bus and has them clean up his mess by trying to hand them over to government control.

If you go back and watch 'Age of Ultron'... Ultron seemed to also have some degree of feelings for Wanda.

One of the best Marvel movies ever. If Disney wants ot make more good Marvel movies they need to bring back the writers and directors of movies like these. So, now that you've seen it, Team Steve Rogers or Team Tony Stank?

Thank you for understanding the levels of complexity the central issue of the film is exploring. I find it so weird when people think that superheroes should be exempt from collateral damage accountability. People are ready to sue someone that accidentally allows their shopping cart to hit someone's car in the Walmart parking lot. Everyone is accountable for damages they cause whether intentional or not. It's why we have insurance. And everyone has oversight....EVERYONE. You have oversight the minute you are born til the day you die. Being a superhero would only enhance that, not remove it. And the Avengers were created by SHIELD....a government agency in the MCU. They would have to adhere to the same oversight as SHEILD. They don't get to go where ever they want, pick up the bad guy after destroying a city filled with people and just get up and leave like it magically fixes itself. They only fought aliens that one time. The rest has all been Earth related and mostly caused by a member of The Avengers. The Avengers were always government sanctioned in the comics. And that's why. Only in the MCU were they allowed to just do whatever they wanted, when and where ever they wanted. The comics were more mature about it than the MCU.

I've always said Tony could have at least hooked Wanda up with some therapy or a green card, at least lol. I mean, he kinda indirectly killed her whole family (I'll give some of that to Wanda as well lol). It's the least he could do lol...

just like the govt steve has his own agendas and he doenst care who dies at his hands. the avengers leave the countries to pay for the destruction they cause what are we doing here

On a political level, I’m Team Steve. On a personal level, fuck Steve, Sam and Natasha for keeping the truth from Tony for almost two years (I’m guessing from the end of Winter Soldier when Natasha’s hands Cap the file on Bucky which I’m assuming includes some ppl that Hydra had him assasinate). I would love to see a version where Steve trusts Tony and tells him the truth right away after the events of Winter Soldier (preferably with Pepper and Rhody in attendance to be emotional support and voices of reason) in an effort to get Tony to help get the Hydra brainwashing out of his head and redirect his anger rightfully towards Hydra (as there’s lots of Hydra people left after their fall). That’d be a cool concept since until this movie, the smartest people Cap knows that have a chance to help Bucky is Bruce (who’s gone) and Tony.

Everything The Avengers has done since forming has been by agenda. Any organization by definition is formed to implement agendas. Cap's basis for his argument is a bit silly. I understand the point of autonomy (which is completely unrealistic) but saying it's because people have agendas is 😂😂😂😂....🤦🏾♂️.

Except that Avengers aren't really corrupt like the people Cap was taking about. The Avengers often take action to do what's right. Despite what you say, Cap isn't really wrong about anything he said in that movie. Cap is a good man (no once of bad) that aims to save the people and goes for freedom. Seems like you would chose to sign those accords based your comment.

I really can't stand how this girl says the Ennword. Feels unnatural, out of place, and jarring. Like, you know who your audience is, tone it down.
