Happens very rarely. Its basically like when you get a reset with solid contact (one of the ones that sends the ball flying) and the use of the flip at the right time, essentially flicking the ball with the added power from the solid contact reset.

Setting himself up with those wavedashes i’m noting that down, at 7:47 he could’ve drove into it but jumping allows him to turn without moving then pop it. At 9:24 lifox would’ve barely cut him off if he just jump popped it instead of wavedashing

I'm glad more people are seeing what I'm seeing. For the unanimously proclaimed "GOAT", Zen has so much more work to do to make a lifetime SSL even sit up in their chair. Edit for reference: Go watch Coconut play (and lobbies he plays in) and you'll see Zen probably doesn't crack Top 50 in the game.

I'd say most of the time the pros don't get enough space to dribble, in lobbies like this youll get challenged immediately. Also they are just so good in the air, there's no reason not to get up in the air ASAP when they do get a little bit of space. It's harder for the opponents to challenge you that way

no they did, but Zen changed that. Thats one of the reasons people say Zen changed the Meta. He Fast challenges everything thats on the ground as first man, because he either wins the ball or they give the ball away to the second man just behind them. Rendering ground play almost useless. But he also insta challs people on the walls / air too which is just insane really. Zen is that consistent in the air that he can hit double resets / ceiling pinch double taps / etc - as consistently as other pros were hitting half flicks. So hes literally changed the Meta as its harder to defend him hitting double resets and the above, than a 90' flick thats doing 75mph into the top corner. Which is why you now see people like Jstn, Squishy, other pros basically learning how to consistently hit double resets cross map and so on - But thats why Zen is the best in the world right now, his consistency to just hit ridiculous shots / his speed and mechs across the map are just unheard of before he came about. And ive been about since the Kuxir pinch discovery days haha

Attacking in air is better in 2v2, 1v1 you see way more ground play with fakes etc. If you flick it past 1st man you can’t follow it with resets you can follow
