Always remember riding my bike back to my parents house one night as the year slipped from summer into autumn and there was a slight chill in the air.l approached an old bridge over a river with a lovely old farmhouse ,its windows shining out a golden glow reflecting on the mist that covered the road and as l passed through the band of water vapour l felt it touching my face and neck and I felt a part of the entire scene not an external actor thrown into it . I tried to explain it to my mom but she just thought l was complaining about the cold 😂

A very thought provoking video, extremely well put together, the choice of music is excellent. I'm in my 70's and have been riding as long as it has been possible. The sheer pleasure of climbing on board and riding off is like a drug, as you say your totally immersed in the moment. Super, super video 🤔🤓🏍️💖

Afternoon Tomboy_a_bit. Throttle therapy is possibly one of the best things to get into. Even when you've got a broken heart. I'm just back from a 1.5 hour cruise with my new heated vest and a small vessel containing my wife's ashes. We're still catching the sun and the wind in our faces and that's all that matters. Spot on girl 👍. Get better soon and safe enjoyable cruising throughout 2024, what a sweet sound that Harley is too 😊🤘...

What a great bike ride, even though a lot of it was through towns (and overtaken by a Delivero). The colours of the sky, clouds and the yellow light on the buildings - beautiful. Definitely a healing experience (thanks for sharing).

Well done tomboy_ a _bit, its not often a rider can explain his/her feelings of what its like to to find your zen. The more you ride the more often you come across it, the combination of engine, weather and landscape create a wild brew that is intoxicating and addictive .... And enjoyable. Happy trails for '24 tomboy_a_bit. Cheers.

TomBoy You absolutely Nailed it! It's not about going fast. It's about the experience of ourselves riding on a motorcycle. The speed and challenge don't matter. It's the feeling of freedom that pours through being on a motorcycle. It's our appreciation of our second life. That's why we ride! Every ride feels like a release from the world. You have this passion and love of motorcycles and this video is fantastic proof. You are an amazing Lady D!! Thank you for this video! Wonderful. 👍👍🌹 Ride SAFE and BE safe Lady!

I’m 58 years old now and have always found peace in all my rides . I hade a lot of hard times in my life. Where I felt border line depression. Motorcycling has always brought me to a happier place when things seemed impossible. Words can not describe the impact riding makes on me . I’m happy to hear you are enjoying the motorcycle life as well . 😊

Cheers for that, Deimante. I just feel so calm riding through towns and villages on a warm, sunny evening on my little Enfield, putt-putting along, and that lovely burble from the Sportster gives me the same feels. During these long, winter months of no riding, it's great to see content like this. Not quite the same as being there and doing it, but it really helps with the mental gloom. Safe travels.

It's interesting - and coincidental, Diamante - that one of my most formative rides was also near the beginning of the time I started riding. In my case, it was the joy and camaraderie of my first 'longer' journey, with a group of friends, from southern England to Wales (and then back again), in 1978. Even now, I reflect, in meditative moments, on that trip - what it meant, and has continued to mean ever since.

I love driving, always have, the novelty has never worn off. But it’s a 2nd class experience. Riding a bike is something else entirely. It’s the necessary full engagement in a single task. It’s impossible to “clear your mind”. The closest you can get is to lose everything but one thing. For me, that happens automatically when I get on and start up a bike. I never play music or chat when I’m riding. I don’t ride in groups either. If you asked me what was I thinking about when I was out on the bike, I probably couldn’t tell you. Riding. That’s it.
