the series is called the OA, its on netflix, she was trying to solve a puzzle inside an abandoned house, but the area was leaking toxic gas which made her and karim (the man talking to her) get poisoned and suffer allucinations, karim escaped the house with her but since she was in the house for way more time than karim she had to stay in the hospital
