It does sound a little far fetched to have an underground city. But then again so are supernatural horseman and locus. I think during that time, anything goes, and we can just take it at face value. There are already companies converting missile silos into huge town sized bunkers, and that would be the place to pool and store all the world's riches. Where the most prestigious people would be in light of the tribulation going on around them.

So maybe... just maybe, when God says Babylon, He means Babylon. 🙂. Part of my making allowance for someplace other than Babylon being that "Great City" is my years of training in the Baptist doctrine, where secret is mistranslated mystery. The scriptures you bring definitely point to the actual Babylon. Even with all the advanced technology in the world today, much of it the public doesn't even know about yet, I guess it's hard to imagine such a thing as a whole city being underground. But, this wouldn't be the first secret that God has revealed to me, most of which came from you, so I shouldn't be surprised. Interesting point about the city being strong. There are no strong cities today, as far as being able to withstand a direct military attack.

I appreciate your honesty, Greg. Yep, I had to rethink this as well. The translation "mystery" doesn't help. And I'm sure the Baptists never trained you to think in terms of "literal if possible." The Catholic church sure as hell didn't do that for me. Also, there is the old bias showing with your phrase, "a WHOLE city being underground." What is a WHOLE city? I raised my family in a WHOLE city---and the population was 2,000 people. Well, we were also trained (predisposed) to think of Babylon as a sprawling metropolis, like New York City. In fact, Babylon can possibly be as small as Greenwich, Ohio, and may only accommodate a hundred people. Is it not still a city? Of course it is. Even if no one were to live there, it would still be a city. Even if it were three miles square, it would still be a city. It is the WEALTH AND THE POWER AND THE STRENGTH of the city that is remarkable. Nothing is mentioned concerning size or population. So where God refuses to comment, so must we. See how we have to re-think things? For sure, the word "strong" is a huge and important clue that has been overlooked by everyone. And wait until you see what I will do with the merchandise mentioned here. Anyway, thanks always for the comment and grace and peace.

@@zendermeister I commented yesterday on this, but again, how do you explain Isaiah 13:19-20. I have not been there, but I watched a podcast on the location of the ancient city of Babylon and it is in ruins today without anyone living there, just like those verses prophecy. And no evidence of underground work having been done. Maybe Isaiah is referring to its destruction during the Tribulation, but in that case, the underground city must begin pretty quick.

Hello Robert. And there will BE no evidence of underground work. Otherwise, secret Babylon would not be a secret. God destroys Babylon for good AFTER the events of Revelation 18. It is AFTER that time that no one will inhabit it And the prophecy of Isaiah comes to pass. It will be uninhabited forthe eon.

@@zendermeister Very interesting to think about. . The mother of Harlots and Abominations of Earth is an underground literal city built under the site of ancient Babylon. So, since it was a called a "mystery/secret", when will the secret be revealed, before or after its destruction?

In my view, the word "Babylon" can be used to refer to any government and religion of men BECAUSE "Babel/Babylon" was the first such city. That name (confusion) could be applied to any government in the world at any given time. For, out of the governments and religions of men have come all "immorality" and "blasphemy" found among mankind. The ancient first city, literally named Babel/Babylon, has come and gone, never to be inhabited again. The Antichrist will rise out of the most dominant government and religion of the world (Babylon) during the years proceeding the 70th week of Daniel (which seems to me to be the USA and the Judeo/Christian religious institutions). However, when Trump's term is over he and his cabinet (with the following of other world leaders) will have brought peace and prosperity to the world and at the United Nations the future wild beast "will be master of a covenant with MANY for one seven" (Daniel 9:27). I think this means MANY NATIONS. This "covenant" will begin, as I interpret Scripture, in the fall of 2028, which by my calculations will be 5993 years from the creation of Adam. More than you asked for but there it is. LOL!

A case could be made that Israel is secretly the most dominant government in the world and the U.S is just her enforcer and protector. Perhaps this is what makes Jerusalem secret Babylon. She is secretly the most dominant, violent, deceptive master of confusion in the world.

If Babylon is sitting on 7 mountains, it doesn't sound like it would be underground.

Hello, Rick. Remember what I said in the show: the mountains are not literal. They represent seven kings. (This is stated plainly in the text.) The woman that John saw is not literal, either. She represents a city. Therefore, the woman is not literally sitting on seven mountains. In your question, you interpret correctly that the woman is Babylon, but for some reason you keep the mountains figurative, even after they are interpreted as kings. Since the woman is not literal, she is not literally sitting on seven mountains. She would have to have a huge ass for that, or else the mountains would have to be extremely small. No one is literally sitting on anything here. But as the woman does represent Babylon, and the mountains do represent kings, and the sitting does represent having power over, then the interpretation is that Babylon has power over seven kings. Lo and behold, Revelation 17:18 says, "And the woman whom you perceived is the great city which has a kingdom over the kings of the earth." Obviously, then, having power over the kings of the earth has nothing to do with whether or not the city is above or below the ground. We can be assured of this when we remember that the mountains are figurative---representative of kings---and therefore have nothing to do with footage above sea level. I hope this helps. Martin, I told you I’m not a full preterist. I believe that Jesus returned literally in the 1st century and I have receipts that I will include at the end of this comment. I also do not believe in eternal conscious torment or human free will and I do believe in the salvation of all just so you know. Peter referenced Babylon in a symbolic sense. There was no literal city of Babylon in the 1st century. The Jews came out of Babylon centuries before but retained some of its characteristics. 1st century Jerusalem did reign over the kings of the earth in that day in a political sense. Daniel refers to it as iron mixed with miry clay which is synonymous with the Woman riding the Beast. In the OT, Jerusalem/Israel is described as a harlot and a mother of harlots so why is it a stretch to think Secret Babylon in Rev is anything other than 1st century Jerusalem? I think that’s far more logical than an underground city that no one can see or penetrate. Again, dispensationalism ignores all the time statements regarding the Great Tribulation and Second Coming. If Jesus didn’t return in the 1st century then He lied. And we know He doesn’t lie. The first-century Jewish historian Josephus describes a heavenly army in the clouds much like the army Jesus leads in Revelation 19:11-14. This event is also recorded by other historians. The first-century pagan historian Tacitus also mentions this event: "In the sky appeared a vision of armies in conflict, of glittering armour."? Pseudo-Hege-sippus also describes the coming of Christ on the clouds with His mighty angels at that time when he writes, "A certain figure appeared of tremendous size, which many saw, just as the books of the Jews have disclosed, and before the setting of the sun there were suddenly seen in the clouds chariots in the clouds and armed battle arrays by which the cities of all ludaea and its territories were invad-ed."? The medieval Jewish historian Sepher Yosippon expounds upon this angelic army in the sky of A.D. 66 by saying, "Moreover, in those days were seen chariots of fire and horsemen, a great force flying across the sky near to the ground coming against Jerusalem and all the land of Judah, all of them horses of fire and riders of fire." 4 The parallels between these three accounts and Revelation 19 are striking. However, in Yosippon's account one can see how 2 Thessalonians 1:7 was explicitly and LITERALLY fulfilled in A.D. 66: "This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels."

I’ve got a question why is it that I feel like the 1161 Bible/Babel is connected to the Gen.11:9 tower and Rev.9:11 bottomless pit. Satan/god of this world, one could say, could have killed Eve by force in the garden/heart. There is a spiritual side to this world/word more then we yet fully know. Spelling (the letter) Kills, but the spirit/breath makes alive being of “the love of the truth” is life. Enoch was translated that he should not see death because his testimony/heart pleased God. Set before me, was good and evil strange flesh the creature transfigured the truth of God into a lie and no lie is of the truth. It is no small thing to Change the truth of God into a lie. Most miserable man I was, for as Paul who says he could wish him self a cursed from Christ! So was I. And as Moses (blot out my name out of thy book) was made to sorrow when God spoke in darkness/dark sentences to him. Were we not put to bitter tears in this or captivity?
