Hey Chris , yes it looks like a decent unit. I too like that it is a suitcase style with wheels and a handle. For a lot of folks that will be a huge help when it comes to moving it around. Thanks for the review 👍

Chris - Glad you're still alive :) Just kidding, but I was wondering where you've been. I have a suggestion for you since you deal with battery powered devices all the time. I'm a battery junkie myself, so I'd really suggest you purchase a capacity tester. The cheapest/best ones are from China, because nobody, unfortunately, is producing any in the US at the moment. I can provide links if you want. They basically work on an over-heated processor, cooled by a standard computer processor fan. They can draw up to 185 W, but I've found 175 W is more of a real world application without interruption on the discharge cycle. You can designate the amperage or wattage of your choice and test the true capacity of any battery, provided you have (or make) the wire connections required. They're bang-on accurate. I've tested all my battery-powered devices to make sure they meet the manufacturer's stated specifications. Usually, they're spot on, but sometimes you get a dud. I even scored a free additional battery (of higher capacity) for my E-bike, because the battery that came with the bike was 14% less than the stated capacity! Knowledge is power :) If you state your grievance well enough and back it up with data, you can make the seller admit to a fault. If they don't want the bad reviews, they may capitulate, as my seller did, and rectify the situation. I was a happy camper for sure :) Now I have two batteries... one is 9.7 Ah (14% below stated capacity of 11.1) and a 16 Ah that is dead-on the stated capacity. Basically, with modern LiFePO4 batteries, they're super easy to test for capacity. If the company that 's manufacturing/selling them is reputable, they will test-out at usually one percent, or less, above the stated capacity. I think it would be beneficial to your viewers if you added a capacity test to all your battery related videos and gave them that knowledge. It would also be beneficial to you personally, because before you even go out on a test ride, you'll already know what to expect from said battery and won't have to call Jen to pick your stranded-ass up :) Cheers, Sev

I know the biggest complaint in the biggest problem with these types of units, they cannot be used in UPS Mode. If you think about it, if you're not part of the Van Life how often would you use something like this in your day-to-day life. So without UPS mode something like this isn't overly practical, having to waste time reconnecting your Computer or Modem/Router when the power goes out, could definitely cause issues or if you are a hardcore gamer, that could definitely cause a lot of problems. Personally I have UPS's on my Motom/Router Entertainment Centre and Computer and I know in a power outage our 12kw backup generator, will kick in within 30 seconds, so basically zero downtime.

Hi Sir, Zendure SuperBase Pro has household grade Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS*) functionality built right in. Simply connect the SBP 2000 to a power outlet and connect your basic equipment to the SBP 2000. In the event of an unexpected power outage, the SuperBase Pro will automatically switch to battery power.😁

@Chris1984 if this has UPS capabilities, why wasn't it mentioned in the video, since that's one of the most important features for most people. Also, not having UPS mode is the biggest complaint when it comes to these units.

I have purchased 3 of these units over the last year. They have full UPS mode with a 13ms switchover time. Sadly the manual is not very helpful. I also saw from the video that there was a complaint about the screen shutting off. The app lets you set the screen timeout from a few second to never. The outstanding feature of this unit that most reviewers miss is that you can charge with SOLAR up to 2400 watts; 600 through the XT60 port and at the same time 1800 watts (SOLAR not A/C) through the A/C input using the included MC4 to A/C input cable. I can run four 400 watt Montek panels through the A/C input while using another through the XT60 port. Amazing unit but has some quirks for sure. Here in SW FL after Hurricane Ian we had no power for 2 weeks. These ran my 13500btu AC in my RV and also a refrigerator, a freezer,, multiple fans and lights, and even a portable ice maker. (I have 5000w+ in portable solar panels.) I paid $1600 for the first one, $1350 for #2 and $599(!!!) for the 3rd one which you can get on Walmart.com as of this date 8/25/23. A FANTASTIC DEAL!@@redneckbryon

Wow. Quick comeback. I thought that I had too much time on my hands. You still seem to be confusing portability, power, size, and expandability. Name another 2000 watt PORTABLE power station that has more watt hours AND can be put in the trunk of your car. My point is that your point in regard to this particular power station is pointless. You should save the comment for a review of a power station that does what you think it should. Yes, sometimes my ass does get tired of responding to people like you. Sometimes, I just can't help myself. Have the day you deserve.
@markjob6354

Actually, the running time is not fantastic, it's insufficient, and rather disappointing. Yeah, sure, you can run 2,000 Watts but for how long ? 1 Hour ? Useless ! What about external battery expandability ? What is the point of building a 2 Kw solar generator which is unscalable ? If you don't have the option of connecting two or more external batteries, then what you have there is a gimmick and not a viable option ? P.S. It's pronounced "ZENDURE," and not "ZENDOR." In regards to the Bluetti 2,000 Watt units, they have external battery expandability.
@davidhowell7279
@davidhowell7279 3 ай бұрын
I think that you are out of your depth, mate. It's a "portable" power station. I'll have to check, but I don't think that it is advertised as a whole house power solution. You start adding expansion batteries, and then it is no longer portable. Sorry, but you aren't making the right point. In comparison with the bluetti, the zendure actually has a slightly longer run time. But, of course, the bluetti has lifepo4 batteries, so the unit will last a lot longer. Sure, you can add really expensive expansion batteries that cost way more than building your own system. So, what's your point. You have none, at least here anyway. Try again. I actually have this unit and use it for its intended purpose. I also have bluetti products and appreciate the difference. You appear to have the very common problem of speaking out of your ass to hear the sound of your digital voice. Sorry, I guess that I do as well. Have the day you deserve.
@markjob6354
@markjob6354 3 ай бұрын
@@davidhowell7279 Excuse me ? The issue I was addressing was that portability is pointless if the unit is so under powered it can't really run much of anything for a long enough duration to make it's small footprint of any realistic practicality. What exactly, is so pointless about stating such an essential fact ? As for me talking out my ass, well, you are one rude actor to say that. Just because you don't agree with what someone else is saying doesn't mean they're talking out of their hat, buddy ! Show some good manners and resonate a little understanding. Telling some stranger off seems to be more about YOU getting off on the sound of your own digital voice I think.
