Ashtanga-class battleship: In TTGL - ironclad and shielded as fuck, only Super Galaxy Gurren-Lagann manages to destroy it. In SRW - a single Gunbuster's Homing Laser attack finishes not one, but two of them off, along with some Hastagry strike fighters and minor villain units. I guess sheer amount of heroic fighting spirit (and, therefore, Spiral Energy) present on battlefield may have something to do with it.

I didn't realize Gunbuster in SRW T is literally recycled from Z3. Nbd. Gotta keep costs down. Gunbuster was a wrecking machine for me in T. I'm hoping they add Gunbuster and Eva Unit 13 to the next SRW game. Unstoppable Gainax Force.

+Silver Maine It was a weapon that Gunbuster had in the concept stages that made it into various videogames, including previous SRWs and the PS2 Gunbuster game. It was partly as a callout to the fact that the first part of the show is sort of a send-up of sports anime.

yeah it's a blink and you'll miss it moment, but you can see the tomahawk and baseball bat in the shoulder during their combining scene.
