Honestly these highlights don't show how competitive this match was at all. Teams did their best fighting for every ball, most points were scored on 3-4th attempt. Congrats to Zaksa, an unbelievable comeback.

@@Vballnut2117 I would be lying if I said I knew all of the polish outside hitters and how they've played, but from what I've seen from Semeniuk and Sliwka for example is pretty outstanding.. I used to think that Sliwka is "just" a benchwarmer because I never saw him in the starting lineup in Poland's matches. Or maybe he's just stepped up his game. Szalpuk is also a candidate I guess, but I don't even know where he plays and how he's been doing? But yeah.. for sure one spot should be reserved for Semeniuk, he's been SO good. The other spot is still a mystery for me since I don't have enough info.

I'm assuming they'll take either 3 or 4 to the Olympics, my guess is Leon, Kubiak, Semeniul and Bednorz, but you can honestly make an argument for any of them to make it

I'm a kazan-fan, but in my opinion Zaska definetly schould be in the final (and win it, too). They work all together, in kazan Bednorz and Ngapeth are playing much worse than they could, mikhaylov gets not enough attack-chances cause the bad defense.

Trentino are going to be a STEEP hill to climb for Zaksa. I feel like the main difference so far between Zaksa and the other teams has genuinely been age. with Lube Leal Simon and Juantorena are all in their 30s. With Zenit Ngapeth, Butko, Mikhaylov and Volvich are all in 30s meanwhile Toniutti is the oldest on Zaksas side. They have so much more youth and that helps them win longer rallies. But trentino are younger and better. And nimir has been unstoppable.

@@Niranye Bednorz played very good games in the russian superleague, but also some bad ones. I think, one of the problems is a mental one. When he had some bad hits in one set, he often can't get over it and tries to hit harder. This leads to more mistakes in the attack. The opponent's serve also goes mainly on him, because ngapeth and golubev are better in defense. (although Golubev is a quite bad libero for such a team)

@@jamesshone1677 Ngapeth is a better passer than the libero or any other player in his team, that's why if he has the opportunity to pass, other player would give way for him. And in that moment when he just stood there during the middle attack, as I've observed many of his previous matches he's more effective in digging when he's relaxed. And we wouldn't know, he might be able to dig that ball if it goes across to him and not on Butko's side.

@@g.o.a.tofvolleyball6536 2 reasons, first he s an outside hitter who has to pass and spike - that puts pressure on him and his team. But thats the same for every outside hitter. Second, he s a poor passer compared to other world class players on his team. Dont get me wrong, he s still and amaizing volleyball player, but his passing is so inconsistent which makes it harder for the setter to get a 4 option play and occaisonally he even conceeds points by shanking and overpassing.

Dont blame it on Ngapeth. Butko is not as good as Toniutti. Regardless of the pass, Toniutti can create a play. Ngapeth can be cocky but damn, he works his ass off. He's a better passer and digger than their libero. Just watch the recently concluded game 2 of the semifinal. He held the team down.
