The split b/w dial version is amazing too (and you've guessed not super easy to get) - the pocket chip, the shadow, the safari .. Zenith has done some really flipping cool stuff here and that movement.... Wow

The bracelet was bound to be polarizing. They went all in with their nod to the past. It’s simply period correct. The aesthetic itself isn’t going to be for everyone to begin with. Zenith made some hard decisions here. The series is dedicated to reproducing the look and feel of the original, they however opted for a display caseback. The stamped clasp comes off a bit shoddy relative to the standards of today, but it would be a bit bulkier if it were built to today’s standards. I bought one pre owned, it came with the bracelet, but I’m not a bracelet guy, so it’s easier for me to accept it for what it is, I’m not wearing it everyday.
