I own the blue dial Mark XX and I'm strongly considering pairing it with the black ceramic Pilot. Also in consideration is the Defy Skyline (Boutique Edition), so it was nice that you showed the Pilot and the Defy side by side a bit.

Hey Bob, thank you! Some great choices between the 2 as a nice change up to your Mark XX. Do you own other Zenith watches? Your in for a treat if this is your first. The looks and design are one thing. The winding and working with it has something in the mechanics I haven’t experienced on other watches.

Thank you John! It’s a great question. The Mark XX wears smaller. That applies to the bracelet, it wears even smaller on leather. I wanted to love it so much, but I ultimately sold it. In my mind the Zenith has the better movement and size. Mark XX gives you more options between a larger selection of dial colors to choose, straps, and the great bracelet option. The Zenith gives you the choice of case material and color, I’m hoping they eventually release a bracelet for it. Ultimately, it comes down to which one just calls to you. Both great brands, with long histories. 2 different styles.

The thickness is well distributed, it’s not like the Tudor Black Bay Pro which is a chunky thick watch.

Thank you for the review! I like the look, but perhaps it will be too big for my wrist. The L2L dimension seems long to me. For me, personally, I would prefer if it had no date (for perfect symmetry) & a solid steel caseback.

How big is your wrist? I’d say this is a good size watch for 6 1/2 inches and up. The date at the 6:00 gave it nice symmetry. I also love looking at that movement, but we all have our tastes 😬

@@DougFNJ My wrist is 6-1/2". It looks good on your 7-1/2" wrist, however. None of the watches in my collection has display caseback, which is why I struggle with most modern watches today as they typically would come with display caseback. I do however LOVE medallion caseback...

Let me guess....predictable Rolex h0re that thinks he has the best in class luxury when in reality he has mass produced steel watches that are barely considered entry level in the presence of brands like Lange, PP, VC, Gronefeld, FP Journe, etc?
