@DougFNJ great video review. I have recently purchased this watch, but Casio says protrek app has no longer serviced, and tell me to. I’ve yo Casio watches app. Insise de the new app, I can save route log, but I can’t change the map, and the most important thing, I can’t see how to attach the photos I’ve taken along de route. I think it’s very disappointing and it make me want to return the watch

Is the 1,000 a bigger G-Shock than a 900

I recently purchased this watch. I’d noticed that protrek app has no longer service, and instead of that it tell me to use “Casio watches” app. Aparently it has all functions, but on route log I had no chance to add photos or change the map, it is a bit function loss for me, so it’s there any way to have this functions on the new app or are there lost?

I thought the depth meter was the key feature on the frogman but apparently this is the only one thats actually got one on it.

I guess you cant choose the tide manually but you can adjust the high tide time of day.

Hello Doug , watch all reviews , right now the e4 45mm is going for $1450 , problaby because the e5 is coming in March 2025 there is very few good reviews on it , I have a Apple ultra with iphone , and i dont exspect it to work the same im sure the e5 will be up there in price and hopefully be less propblems as long as the e4 works with my work-outs and keeps time , what is your take on this

I just wounder how much of the watch you actually use. Sure when you've unboxed it you will go out of your way, but once the novelty is over, apart from the notifications and alarm....well I guess it's just knowing what time it is. Mind you l live Tissot....l have one....simple model and it keeps perfect time.....

024/500 of the B51 here. I am a building contractor and I wear this watch every day. I dont treat it with kid gloves. If I wanted costume jewelry watch, I would have bought something at the mall. I will say that I have been extremely impressed at how well this watch is built. The patina that developes over time only adds to the character. Everyone has their motivation for watch purchase but if you can get past the Lum-Tec "reviews" that only seem to marvel at the SuperLuminova, Weigand watch makes tools, durable tools. The attentilon to engineering and durability make this a fantastic investment if you are a collector OR a maker. I would recommend if you want to buy something once instead of the vanilla mall watch twice. It's ok, get it dirty, get it wet, do stuff.....it will keep working. "Quality is never an accident. It is always the result of intelligent effort."

Frogman is the master of G-shocks, even if you are not a diver, you get a screw back case! This is huge in electronic watches! This is real sealing system for real watches which wont bend over time and let your screen fog, case leak or whatsoever occuring from the weather and enviromental conditions! The whole case is stainless steel and the backcase is screwed - this is real time piece with electronic module inside, that is what it is. No one tells you, but if you leave regular G-shock (with 4 screws that holds the backplate) on the sun when outside is over 40 degrees celsius and leave it there for an hour or two, your back plate of the case is slightly bended. If you deside to go into a sauna for longer time and then go into the ice bucket, then your case back is bend for sure. Then just wait for the winter to come and look at your watch screen and tell me what you see... (if you can see below the fog of course) With the frogman you can't bend the back plate in any conditions
