Nice to see the rare hammer content for frontier. wish it felt better to play rather than feeling like a budget greatsword but its good to see someone still give it some rep. Are you gonna try to use hammer on some musou monsters in the future?

I don't really want to make musou content cause there are dozens of channels out there that are pretty much dedicated to doing speedruns of musous on the daily, I also don't really like these fights in general, so no

Been seeing a lot of frontier videos pop up on my feed and yours was one of them. I'm curious if frontier is becoming big again because there are servers that are making it available across the globe including the West. I just learned about it last week and started playing since then and I'm hoping to be able to reach your level some day. Currently at HR6 and just dealt with Varusaburosu and Voljang, but supremacy monsters are... something else. 💀 Currently hit a wall with Teostra, even with using Halk pots and wearing evasion +2 armor. Using Long Sword atm and it doesn't seem to be cutting it anymore. I'm wondering if I may need to switch to a ice hammer for more hit and run tactics. Any tips you can provide besides trying to learn his attack pattern and dodging through them?

I can't really give other advice than the ones you cited yourself. Teo might be a bit challenging for LS because of its hitzones and negative elemental hitzones. What I would recommend though is to not use Halk Potions. I don't know how fast you went through this game or if you took your time at all but using Halk Pots is a serious crutch that's just going to make you worse at the game. The content in HR5 and 6 is a huge difficult spike that's meant to test your knowledge and skill. If you can't get past Supremacies without Halk Pots then you are going to get smacked by what's waiting for you behind that no matter what, as a lot of the most important content will straight up prevent you from using them. Supremacies are balanced around surviving with Evasion 2 or Guard 2 and/or counters and simply not getting hit, as all of these monsters will burry you no matter how much defense you have (except maybe Dora, not sure how this thing's damage works cause i've seen weird things)

@@dynamo_lynn Hmm, I figured that was the case and I appreciate the feedback. Also believe me, I hate using crutch items. I was just wanting to get through HR6 so that I can unlock extreme style since I heard that drastically changes your gameplay. Also so that I could get ahead and help my friend get through hr1-7 as fast as possible. I'll admit, I'm used to dodging out of the way of monster attacks, not dodging THROUGH the attack. Could never get the hang of that style in previous MH games. However, I'm definitely seeing that's mandatory for this title and I'm starting to get the hang of it now. At the very least in supremacy quests, I'm wanting to use the halk pots to take at least one hit while I try to figure out how to dodge through the attack should I mess up. Instead of getting hit one time, carting, and having to run all the way back. Only to possibly get carted again while still learning, fail the quest, and have to do the whole set up again. Unless that's the usual process of how some people make it far in frontier until perfection. Currently in the process of making Toa Tesukatora's hammer for Supremacy Teostra and take a swing at that.💪

Personally the zenith i like the least. Still much better than World Brute, for example, which isn't even a bad fight. Goes to show how great zenith monsters are.
