Still looking for the version of this lecture Martin gave at Calvary Chapel back around 1973 just before moving to southern California. Much more spirited. I think the name on the tape was "Martin at Calvary".

The JW translation of the New Testament plays fast and loose with the Greek text. Yes, fast and loose. For example, they translate "I am" in John 8:58 as "I was" but that is impossible linguistically. Also, in their literature they avoid the NT phrase "in Christ" and for an obvious reason. You or I could not be in Christ unless Christ were God. Their writers and leaders just don't want the truth.
