In this series entitled Pleasing God, Dr. Sproul looks at the threefold battlefront for the Christian-that is the world, the flesh, and the devil. In this message, Dr. Sproul considers the second enemy on that list. Who or what is this enemy, and how can we overcome it? Find out in “The Battle with the Flesh.”
This is the 4th in a series of messages by Dr. Sproul on pleasing God. See other videos in the series: • Pleasing God - R.C. Sp...

I've read all of R.C. Sproul's books. There was one book that was called something like "300 of the hardest questions about God" or something of the sort. One of, if not the best book I've ever read. Sproul used apologetics and the bible to answer every single hard question ever asked about the existence of God. Highly recommend and thank you for giving me a better understanding of theology Mr. Sproul. May you rest in peace and God bless.

I always end my night listening with something from MacArthur, but it was his friend RC that landed on my KZbin feed. From RC ....It is said that the most selfish of all crimes is vandalism..... And so on from there Indeed, how is it possible how one human being can do this, much less millions. A message for our times. I miss you, RC, and and smile with joy that we are all together in Christ.

Good presentation. The flesh is very immoderate. Addicts itself . So we suffer gluttony, greed, jealousy, environmental etc., because we can't get enough of something we want, or another has it. The suffering of addictions can be a problem. You can be a Christian and many still struggle through the offsets of the flesh.

Thanks Ligonier for posting this teachings. I almos done with the book of the biography of brother Sproul. But I need some help please. Could you refer me to a video or information about Luther and sus suposed hate for jewish people? Why is Luther refered as a pro-holocaust? I know that Luther plays a very important role on the reformed theology. Can you share whats Sproul toughts on that matter, now that he is talking about the jewish holocaust in this teaching. Thanks

If we do a study of Agustine, we'd find he 'dabbled' and 'studied' for the sake of adding in his teachings the pagan greek philosophies. He was very popular and followed, but only because the Vatican raised him to such heights.

He has points and some of his stuff is completely off such as we STILL get drunk and are in the spirit etc. there is either a life of repentance spirit filled or not.
