The virtual idol faction was leaked early, and the ZZZ team made an announcement post on BilliBilli confirming them, but I don't think they made an english post about them.

So about the banner, Ellen is going to be the first phase and is going to o up on the day the game is released. After that, the second banner goes up on the 24th.

12:49 Ellen Joe (Shark girl) and Zhu Yuan (police mommy) are the first exclusive five star banners. As usually there will be a standard banner and also a Bangboo banner. No news yet for 1.1 characters.

The dates you saw where for the limited banners. So those two characters will be available for a limited time. After that you have to wait for reruns to get them again. For the Bangaboos, You can only pull for them using exclusive in-game currency, that you get exclusively from events and gameplay. You cannot pay to get these currency. The Catguy is for players who don't know what to do, it'll tell you what quests you still need to do and how to get there.

These are my personal and genuine thoughts, as pure as they can be. - Because I'm very partial to designs with real-life cultural motifs/refs on them, I currently have no interest in any char's. This will def change when I get to meet them in-game and learn their story. - I think what I'm loving the most are the name and role of our two protagonists. - I'm finding features outside battles more intriguing. Note that I never play a game for the thrill of combat because it's physically tiring for me. - I did the web event so I'll def at least try the game. Whether I'll like and play long-term or not is unimportant rn. - Overall, I like how simple the livestream was. Simply telling what the game has, cool transitions, and sick beginning!
