Best W-Engines for Soukaku: - Bashful Demon - Reverb Mark II (If you want increase chance and damage of dots) - Reverb Mark III (If you want overall atk for entire team)

Also! as you level up your core skills (talents), the ATK percent increases. Level 1 core skill is 10% atk increase for using fly the flag. Level 7 core skill is 20% increase for using fly the flag. If we assume no core skill investment (lvl 1), Soukaku would need 5000 atk to get her atk increase cap at 500. This atk includes all her gear, lvl, and weapons. If we assume max core skill investment (lvl 7), Soukaku would need 2500 atk to get her atk increase cap at 500. This atk includes all her gear, lvl, and weapons.

While it wouldn't be my first choice, out of the options I have available, I'm running her with Lucy's Kaboom the Cannon and it works pretty well for the team-wide ATK buff and the ER if you don't have Bashful Demon. 4-piece Swing Jazz and 2-piece Hormone Punk for Disks, but I'm thinking of switching those ratios.

I'v bene searching for a while but nowhere Is talked about this Does bashful demon condition get activated through soukaku chain Attack? Since fly the flag Is part of the special atk, but It gets auto-cast in other ways too, so i can't figure out if you are forced to actually attack manually with soukaku to get all 3 buffs together (flag, ICE dmg, 4stack weapon)

This is a wonderful guide on how to use her mechanics, and honestly you have a great voice for KZbin guides. However you listed this as "the only Soukaku guide you need" which doesn't mention her team building and no talking about gears etc. I would probably either think about naming it like "Guide on Soukaku mechanics" or expanding future guides to talk about team building and equipment's and such. But honestly you've done a wonderful job and have earned and a sub from me.

I decided not to talk about gears because I could not test them as I was low key investing in other characters to create the guides! For now, I'll post my findings in the pinned comments. Got Ellen on 2nd multi and then rolled a bit more to get Soukaku to C4 with her free copy, 3rd slot for now is Rina from standard for PEN buff. But I have to say it's a bit stupid to make buff working only on next character in a game where combat system revolves around fast switching characters.

Yea... It can get pretty annoying. One thing I have found is that if you afflict stun on an enemy, you trigger chain atk. This can bring Soukaku in for her buff and then switch out via chain atk to someone else. It's a for sure way to get buffs passed

It's as if the game's doing everything it can to make me main her lmao. All my other good pulls have had no synergy whatsoever: Soldier 11, Koleda's W-engine, and Rina. What on earth am I supposed to do with those 3? Anby's signature is stronger on her than Koleda's (or that's what I think at least)!

I love using her ex special, in my experience it just seems to do a ridiculous amount of damage and really chew enemies up. It also seems to hit an enemy many more times depending on how large it is, due to the projectile spending more time traveling through their model.

This game takes snippets out of multiple different ones. Jak 2 is the one that is closest to me but then some of the combat from ff games or kingdom hearts. And im spinning it on a tab. I'd like a controller... So yeah, it's the first gacha game for me. I used to learn things by mashing buttons around, and I'm still on that fence, because then it leaves something for me to improve on my own. That's victory I want. Now I spoiled my flag girl as I head to hunt for straight activation of that storm. There's that gangsta w-engine that doesn't seem to stack up from her fighting... It breaks the chain a little.

I'm so used to swapping early in long attacks that I just realised that I've been wasting the buff, and not passing it along, because I'd swap before the quick assist. Im kinda sad because I thought this was an awesome character for my playstyle revolving around trying to have every character on the field doing attacks simultaneously, but it seems that doing so will cause me to miss out on the buff.

If I chain into Fly the Flag, then to Lycoan, and finally to Ellen, will Ellen have the full buff? Or does it only transfer once?

​@@mybedvt Are you sure about that? I've been using this team and it lets me transfer the buffs over from Sokaku to lycoan to Ellen. My team is set up so after Sokaku consumes the 3 staxks she activates fly the flag then into chain lycoan, Solaku again into fly the flag, and then to ellen and ellen stills has both icons while attacking.

You are correct Retro, I have tried it again and you can have it on two allies but it requires the use of chain atks enemies being stunned.

For bashful demon's buff that triggers of EX-Special, does this mean the correct rotation is to always swap to soukaku for the daze state through her Special? Are there any other ways for the bashful demon buff to trigger through chain attacks? I think with how much her specific W-Engine might potentially change playstyle, it would be a good idea to touch on that as well.

Bashful's atk duration sadly is not a long time (12 sec), it makes it hard perfectly trigger all the time. Also, I don't think there is a buff status effect to showcase its working ;; The best scenario I can think of is like what you said, swap to soukaku and use EX Special press for the icy wind. It does a loot of ice application and easily will proc the squad atk buff from weapon. Then hold to consume vortex and swap. Other than that, I would keep in mind that an EX Special will give a small atk increase and leave it at that. Less headache!

While the benefits are amazing, it's gonna take me some time to get use to Soukaku's slow attacks and flag animation while the main dps are so swift satisfying to watch. Plus I always trigger the chain attack before I could use fly the flag to buff which is annoying.

Yea, she is def more difficult and demanding compared to other characters. If you chain attack to Sousaku, she ends with fly the flag. That will activate her quick assist so you can transfer your buffs! If you have an ice team, I think its worth learning. If not, I feel like Lucy or another support later down the line might be easier.

For Soukaku's M2, I don't see how it's mandatory. She's not gonna be on field most of the time so basic, dash, and dodge counters won't be used much, and it has such low chance too. Am I missing something or am I not using her right?

Quick Assists also procs her M2! That and dodge counters are the big triggers. In a boss fight, there will be multiple times where you can find yourself in sticky situations while trying to fly the flag. An example would be when you thought you had an opening but the enemy shimmered for an atk so you cancel and dodge counter. Since Soukaku only needs 3 stacks of Vortex, I'm confident that in a fight, there will be situations where you might use any of the M2 triggers. I'm thinking maybe like ~30 times in a tough boss fight. 15% of 30 is ~4. That's 4 vortex stacks in a fight. Might not seem a lot but it helps her flow of combat. One less EX Special attack press is time saved for faster buffs! If you decide to sub dps her, M2 will get even stronger. I think it's nice to have that option for late game. You are right though! It's not mandatory, especially facing easier mobs.

Do you know if her Fly the Flag buff overwrites itself? I will consume 3 vortexes to buff Ellen, but then get the stun and she will inevitably put another buff back on Ellen through Chain Atks. Does it get rid of the gigavortex buff? Im hoping it just refreshes it or something lol

Sadly there isn't an indicator that shows whether or not you have the 3 vortex consumed fly the flag buff. If you go into the training room though, you can check in the detailed stats! I did a couple of tries and this is what I found. It seems like the fly the flag buff will not overwrite. So the 3 vortex consumed buff will be transferred to Ellen. If Soukaku sends another normal buff to Ellen, it just refreshes the buff Ellen had before! Exactly what you thought~ Let me know if I'm wrong though! Hope that helped

@@aii-yin3800 Nope. There are two buffs, the ATK buff and Ice DMG buff. The Ice DMG always requires Vortex. Now the ATK buffs with Vortex and without Vortex exist at the same time, but only the stronger one is applied. That means the Vortex buff lasts for its entire duration, but after that it downgrades to the non-Vortex buff until you consume more.

I suggest going for ATK and then Energy Regen. ATK should be priority as most of her value comes from her fly the flag buff. Check my pinned comment for atk thresholds you might need to get the most value for her buffs. Your DD should be ATK everything and then on disk 6, you can either go atk or energy regen! I'm unsure on dps Soukaku atm because I don't have the resources to try her yet. Hopefully that helps!

Yea! So the only time to press the special skill is if your energy bar is glowing. EX Special skill grants Vortex stacks. Once you have 3 stacks, you can consume it with a special skill hold to get insane buffs. If that is confusing, then I suggest to basically ignore all presses and just HOLD. If you hold, she will do rally and give the fly the flag buff which you can transfer via quick assist or chain atk. It wont be as strong as the Vortex stacks one, but its easier to do. Let me know if you need more help!

Anytime you dodge a boss atk, there should be an opportunity to fly the flag buff with special hold. After you get the buff, make sure to transfer it via quick assist. That is an opportunity for M2 to activate. I have also found it really easy to buff when a chain atk occurs. (it happens when you 100% daze an enemy)

Yes you are correct! Consuming 3 vortex gives you a double atk increase with a max of 1000. It also gives you her core skill that increases ice damage for entire team.
