These are a cultural icon in Denmark where they are from. Pretty sure it was started by some young guys inspired by homemade speakers used at music festivals like Roskilde. It is literally impossible to be at a party where these aren’t used. The picture on the website where they carry it to the beach isn’t lying, two bros can manage to carry it. They kind of dominate party culture here now. I’m not trying to sell these lol but I thought I should give context to how popular they are here

This is very true. I have had a couple of "parties" where we go from house to house. Walked at least 10 km and traveled 60 or more on bus and train (turning the volume way down under transport or turning off if asked to) to then start the party again at the next house with a blast. The best thing is, we can do this on just one full charge most of the time. The only problem with having these everyere is a lot of people don't turn the volume down, while being at the beach or park, so it becomes way to much at times, having 5 of these blasting different music.

As an avid backpacker, the trick to this type of thing is to set up the hip belt to take the brunt of the weight, and the shoulder straps to stabilize. This can be a tricky thing to do with some packs, but it's amazing how much better it is. Usually I use a 20 lb pack, but I have done a trip through mountain terrain with a 35 lb pack (camera equipment).

@christophersiano9693 жыл бұрын
You absolutely can do a right and left. However, you can't do it using Bluetooth. Instead, you get a little dongle for your phone that transmits in SKAA. Why? Because not only does that protocol work MUCH better than Bluetooth, but it is made to transmit Audio. Anyway, you use the SKAA protocol and the SKAA app to set your speakers for right and left. Look, you've already spent $2k for two of these, what's another $100 for the dongle? All I can say is it is AMAZING. I've passcoded my Bluetooth so that nobody can easily just connect and virtually no one has a SKAA dongle, so your speaker isn't going to be hijacked. Unfortunately you still need the Bluetooth Soundboks app to set your bluetooth code, and your EQ setting, but using the SKAA app, you can control system volume as well as right/left/mono and other aspects. Better yet, the system, once configured, automatically links up exactly as you set it on power up. So long as your have the dongle in your phone first, everything just works. I think far too many people are completely overlooking the power of the SKAA technology. It's not just for linking speakers, but controlling true wireless speaker systems. The LEDs will light up to give you battery status when you press the rather stealth button to the left of the LEDs on the other side of the strap. Your idea of XLR stereo would work where you feed the left to a speaker and right to another and then use the SKAA to link up to 4 others to each of them. But do you really need 10 of these? Just use a SKAA transmitter and do it all wirelessly. Of course, if you are using the PRO level of SKAA, you are limited to just 2, but the max latency would be only 19ms. Both the Soundboks and SKAA apps allow you to control the speaker's volume knob.

We just got this Gen3 SB speaker. The clean (open) sound, it's for real. No doubt it's a quality BT speaker. It definitely has enough Bass for 7/10 of the people interested in it. It's got great sound and bass. But it isn't a bass that you FEEL such that you do when you're at a concert or bigger event. However, we haven't used it outdoors yet. So, perhaps those outdoor settings might improve that even more? After 2 hours of use, we noticed they started sounding even better than when we first turned them on, which is incredible. For reference, we enjoy bass and listen to EDM (techno, big room, and trance mainly). If I had to guess (because I haven't heard it in person), I would guess JBL 1000 (non BT) speaker has the bass you can feel, but I doubt it has the same clean and open sound that the BT SB speaker has. 🔊👌🏼🎶 Cheers! Thanks for the review!!

I bought one on January last year, 2021 and as soon as I played it I swore I would buy a second one the following year but I ended up getting it a week later and now 14 months later, I have zero regrets. I’m not rich, I’m a wanna-b music producer/truck driver who is addictive to clean loud music in stereo and this baby delivers to my satisfaction. I loaded them in my car’s back seat and road around town San Francisco Bay Area, Cali and just blew everyone away while pumping it loud like a live concert. I also took it to a farewell party for a college at a park and everyone at the park had to come and see what the heck was doing all that with no electricity, wires, or generator. I carried them both 100 feet from the car while playing music and everybody said, “HERE COMES THE PARTY!!” The AAP is the secret to make this have the absolute value. Yo long comment from a person that has 4 of these bad boizz So we get student budget and we have 4 classes, as a result we all have one. We have ordered one each semester so they are different generations. We carry it around the campus, but if we take the longer trip there is a solid chassis that makes it a backpack which is an extra. Sound is insanely loud. When using at least 2 we never go over 60-70% considering long distances and large area coverage. Older gens are very similar in sound, we have the last gen Martian edition that is better at the treble but on general they just become louder with each gen Battery life is great especially if used inside you can plug it the battery and the battery to the box so it will work forever and be fully charged when taken. It's great overall but costs a lot. I'd take the older gen for some 400$ if you can find any but it's a great purchase for uni life

Second one is to sell my Fiio E10k and buy xDuoo TA-01B instead and use it as AMP/DAC combo. The thing is, I really like my E10k and I would like to keep it, but not in case that TA-01B has a better DAC than Fiio or that it is generally a better amp than MT-602. So what do u guys think ?

Good consumer product for the price. but from and audio engineering perspective it sounds like it’s got a cheap compressor driver and a single 12” would be better than two 10”. The big benefit of this over most consumers speakers is the tweeter is horn loaded so will work much better outside and will have less interference from the room as it isn’t just throwing treble all over the place. Also most djs have there speakers way to loud and tuned poorly (if at all) that’s the issue not distance a well tuned pa will sound good close up if you need it far away there’s to much mid and treble these frequencies are absorbed more than bass and are how most PA system come tuned to way to harsh. Also if you need more than two of these your probably cheaper renting pa from a pa company.
