Zeph Buddy + Brann Combos Can Really POP!

Zephrys buddy can makes some crazy combos with his hero power. Triple into a 5/6, use the buddy to dupe it, then triple into a golden 5/6 and another discover. But... this gets crazy when you start adding Brann. Now discover 2 things, triple, hero power, triple, discover more... repeat. Pop offs for days!

That was incredibly satisfying to watch. Thanks for the fun video Bofur! But your misplay at 13:33, where you wasted 3 gold almost killed me. I instinctively wanted to say "but the GOOOLD!!" and accidentality inhaled my cigarette... It's almost made me think that smoking could be bad for once health. But that can't be, since it's plant based, right? Almost like eating a salad!

Have you played the new Hooktusk yet? It's the most broken thing I've ever seen with the golden buddy, as you get gold equal to double the value of the minion you remove--this means that removing a tavern 5 minion gets you 10 extra gems that turn...and you still get the discover from the lower tavern. It's like getting a Goldgrubber pirate buff each turn, without having to play pirates.

Yep played it twice today (1st/2nd place). Tbh I don't believe the hype. It's probably a meta difference, but games are super fast from my POV. It's a great card when you are already snowballing and are ahead in the game. It's an immediate sell right after triple in pretty much every other game. The 1-star to 4-star change is net -12g difference in purchasing cost and that is backbreaking in non-highroll games. If games go past turn 12 then it gets interesting, but unfortunately w/ buddy meta it's pretty much top 2 by turn 12 in 70-80% of games. Obviously that's just the local meta that I see, so results will be a lot better if your games are longer. I'd much prefer old hooktusk in this kinda meta. She was ~25th overall average before the change. It'll be interesting to see where new hooktusk winds up.

@@bofur It might just be a lucky game, but I got it on a murloc lobby and leveled to 5, then just steamrolled everybody. There are good 5 and 4 drop murlocs that you don't necessarily want to keep on board, so the power provides a serious engine. It might be different with other tribes though.

@@theprogressivecynic2407 Don't get me wrong, Hooktusk is still a top tier hero. But its heavily due to her hero power and less due to the buddy. When you are ahead, the buddy helps stay ahead. When behind, you'll just sell it. Great hero w/ good buddy is a great combo. I was of the opinion that hooktusk was a top 10 hero prior to the change. I don't see her dropping from there w/ the new buddy, but I don't think it's busted by any means. Def not last week Scabbs tier or anything.

Razorgore replacing Chronormu is baffling both are cards that can be toxic but Razorgore is boring, Chronormu is at least fun

Chrono was super bad for the game imo. It funneled dozens of midgame states into the same final board compositions and homogenized strats. Pair that w/ the crazy swings midgame when someone finds a turn 6-7 chrono and it had way too much play impact. Good change from my POV.
