Actually, based on the wording you can activate special summoned monster effects. Its odd wording doesn’t lock you out of monster effects until you actually summon a normal monster

Can you elaborate on that? Because for me this looks more like a "Pot of Duality" and less like for example "Ragnaraika Mantis Monk" kind of effect. Where does the wording implie that you can use effects of special summoned monsters, and still use the second effect of Lordly Lode?

@@DragonrageBunkeronce you declare a normal monsters name to summon, then you’re locked out of special summoned monster effects for the turn. Until you activate that effect, you’re free to use your effects like normal.

Good stuff brother. Dark Magician was the first thought I had when Primite got revealed, so I'm glad the options are being explored. Pretty cool that 2 new Primite cards just got revealed for Supreme Darkness as well. I will likely be cooking up my own list here soon.

@@andrewcallus8961 sure it's more of a control style deck so not many direct combos, but I can do a test hand video to show you how it operates and then maybe some duels from locals

As a big fan of DM this looks cool havent seeen much of the pimite cards yet but look fun im enjoy the Toybox / WF / Amazmina version at moment but going more DM in a DM style deck would be awesome!! im gonna test it out!!

Have you already tested around the deck? How good does it stand in locals?

Yeah been playing around with it a bit, its quite reliant on getting a Primite spell and a route to Circle/soul, but it catches a lot of people off as they always forget about the primite GY effects and the over effects they bring. Im tempted to also play the nadir servant into wnda lock play tbh as that adds another level of control that dosent clash to your boards.

is it possible to build this deck on a tighter budget? I currently have one soul and soul servant and buying more will be a bit out of my budget (since I also have to buy the rest). Are there like alternatives for those cards?

@SoulXx21 best you can do is increase the count of Illusion of chaos/preparation of rites for souls. Servant you'd have to use draw power so allure possibly

@@zephyrwargamesyugioh hmm, allure might actually work for a more budget variant. And increasing illusionist is probably the best option for the lack of souls. I ll try adding those and see how test hands will go in an emulator. Might tweak the deck some more to see what i can make of it on a budget xD. Tnx for the suggestions, rly appreciate it!

It can be yes, I just feel BE probs has a bit more that clashes and is less control orinatated than DM, but it can be done.

The wording is really weird, but lordy lode only locks you after you activate it, you can activate efects before that no issue and then activate lode's second effect
