Let's say 10,000 healers strike. There are 51 million players. so 0.02 percent of players are going to some how make a dent? not happening mate. Most of the people saying they will strike on the forums don't even play the game more than 2hrs a week.

Regarding beast tribe quests, you can't prep the quest since the submission is locked behind the class you accept it with. So let's say you took 3 quest as a SMN the night before the early access comes up, you can only submit it as a SMN. Not sure what would happen if you took those quests the night before, then abandon it on the early access to take it again as PIC.

I am going to hold off on Viper, Picto, & Beastmaster when it comes out! I am going to level all of my other jobs to 100! If I don't do it at the start of the Expansion, then I won't do it! I am also doing my Crafters/Gatherers! I was going to rush the MSQ, but I am going to take my time! I am just going to chill! I cleaned out all my inventory & am down to 149 in the Glam Dresser! Another pro tip: Shb Fairy tribal quest still gives above average exp for turn ins at 80. You can do both Fairy and Arkansondra at 80 and get to 50%+ quickly. Pixie quest only scales back on exp at 81.

Tip for leveling as well that I found super helpful recently was doing roulette's and dailies on even levels, and then doing the highest level dungeon on odd levels. It can always take longer for dps with queue times, but still found it to make the leveling go much quicker.

I have a friend who always advises people do it this way. It's especially important at the max level for the expansion you're leveling on, so at 50,60,70,80,90 good to do the roulettes because the exp isn't as good in those dungeons because they assumed you're at max level when they were new.

Something that no one seems to mention in these videos which I had to discover for myself after wasting tomes last expansion is that you'll also be able to simply buy upgrade materials for the tome gear with poetics instead of needing the coins from the alliance raids or drops from savage. So if you've already bought several pieces of tome gear but haven't upgraded them it'll be cheaper to simply buy the upgrade materials and trade up to the higher item level than simply buying the fully upgraded piece.

This is assuming you already own a fantasia. The free fantasia they'll give players comes from a quest. So you'll have to log out then log in again if you want to use it.

The issue with the Zadnor area is not many people necessarily go there to farm fates and even on more popular servers it can be pretty dead. Most people go to the main Bozja area since there are more fates and CE's that pop there as well as higher density of mobs for crystal farming. There is pretty much at least 1-2 fates up at any moment you are in Bozja. Either way, CE's after lvl 80 give almost 800k XP while fates give around 300k in the Bozja area. Mix that with some duties, the job quests for these 2 new classes, as well as other XP gains and it should only take 2-3 days to hit 90 even at a somewhat chill pace. As for clearing out bags, I had a lot of dyes and crafting items on my retainers that are available at the material vendors. I put some on the MB and others I just vendored. I desynth'd a lot of green and some blue gear and was able to sell many of the materials on the MB. So make some money while clearing the bags out. Now only one of my bags is full and it's a mix of crafting items, XP foods, hp potions, free company travel tickets, etc - so basically things I feel like I may need or want to do even while leveing.

The rush of new people will make the zones more evenly populated which will help you when leveling. It’s how I got Bozja unlocked for EW. Good luck with DR though.

At odd numbered levels and level 80 I would queue for the duties at those levels and then go back to Bozja at the other even numbered levels. It kept it from getting too monotonous.

I usually just stick to GNB/tank to go through main story and then start doing raid with it to farm new tomestone and endgame gear. The free time I have outside of that, I start leveling other classes with side quests and whatnot, but that's usually way after I finished main story and cleared extreme/savage for the week.

I saw on Icy Veins that floors 21-30 of Eureka Orthos are great for leveling from 81-90, whereas as soon as you hit level 81, Bozja XP plummets. I saw someone else say Orthos is difficult enough to not be a very reliable source of XP?

Because this wasn't mentioned, I have a question for anyone. Is it true that the bonus exp earring will work even if you are lv 91 or higher? Apparently, with duty roulette, you sink down, making you below LV 90, so the earring would work. Not sure how true that is.

Is it bad that through every expansion i never used dungeon gear and used the poetics gear all the way to the next 10 levels till the next set of poetic gear? I realized when I got to 90 I could no longer do that, but i think 90 poetic gear is coming so maybe i shall make a return to my old ways. lol also I think i just liked having all my gear stay as a matching set, even if they were glamoured over.

Nah not bad at all. Technical there is a small window after x5 where dungeon gear becomes better, but it’s not a big deal. As a tank/healer it matters slightly more for big pulls when everyone under geared, but even then it’s not a big deal.

At the level *5-*6 third dungeon of an expansion, a tank will take a big increase in damage and lack much health for the healer if they are still wearing starting gear of that expansion due to a big increase in armor by that point in the game for tank gear. Upgrading chest and legpiece covers the most of the stat difference. The augmented gear with poetics are not as bad but there is still a stat gain in upgrading gear at that level.

I'm saving all challenge logs so for the extra gains on Viper. If you get up early enough, you should be able to clear the daily roulettes before reset, and you can do those again after reset. Shame Eureka Orthos isn't popular, thought a deep dungeon from 81-90 would be great for inbetweens but no one does these.

3:15 at lvl 90 the 1 line and 2 line reward adds poetics as reward as well; no causality or comedy tomes anymore from Khloe and it is in force already. 1 job at 90 triggers that reward scheme and fortunately it stays so for lower lvl jobs as well :) fun part: because 2 lines qualifies also for the 1 line reward it is 700+1000=1700 poetics if you are so lucky and opt for both rewards the unfortunate part: if you opt for all those poetics AND the 500 poetics for "i did WT at all" it cumulates to 2200 poetics which would violate the current cap. your comedy and causality tomes also qualify for poetics, so maybe you convert comedy and causality tomes first AND go shopping for viper and picto and ONLY then you ask for WT rewards to rake in another batch of poetics

I don't mind being one patch behind ,as I'm planning to level pictomancer anyway all friday. Omg I didn't know about the maintenance and I still need to do all post msq 😂 Last time a new job was released i would queue constantly for roulettes while doing fates and that got me levelled up super quick. I am a caster preferer (rdm main) but viper looks more interesting to me than picto. not a fan of how it looks or sounds... but ultimately it'll be how well it plays though. that said... not prioritizing the new jobs. I'll be rdm for the story and then probably focus on the jobs that my retainers are so they can level up too (I have 2 min 2 btn 1 pld 1 whm 1 blm 1 smn. the gatherers will get leveled up by daily GC handins so it's just the battle jobs I'll need to actually work on)... anyways 0 rush on leveling though as we have 4+ years to go til next level cap increase lol

The fastest way is to get through MSQ first on a job already in game, so you can get the exp bonus. Even if you are going to main viper or picto, then you can always level them after. You have a month to level your jobs (on top of early access), so there's really no need to rush... Duty support is also really helpful. I leveled most of my jobs in Endwalker through duty support. I had all my jobs level capped within 2 months... I'm not rushing this time around though. FFXIV can get boring after leveling all your jobs. The more you do in this game, then the less there is to do...

You'd also level up the scions through trust system for picto and viper, now I think for EW dungeons they got extra bonus exp to lv 90. All of mines are probably around lv 83 or something currently.

Just FYI for anyone, Zadnor third area IS NOT the best for XP in Bozja, best for XP and alt leveling is actually Bozjan Southern Front all areas. Zadnor third area is the best to farm Mettle and get your Rank up to 25. So do Zadnor third area BEFORE DT launch to get your rank and honors as high as possible, then when the launch hits, go back to Southern Front and use your high rank strength to farm much more frequent and much easier skirmishes and CEs for the same XP amounts.

Make sure you keep your character in a Sanctuary🌙before logging off for that sweet Resting Exp Bonus to use later. My character is resting at The Forgotten Knight Inn instead of say a busy City State or Housing Districts where they cut you off from entering during high traffic (they use to for districts back then)! I just hope the login situation this time around is more akin to Shadowbringers and NOT Endwalker. Waiting in queue to login for 10-30 minutes (maybe an hour during peak times) isn't too terribly bad when you're not getting disconnected all the bloody time and honestly things got A LOT better in Endwalker once they found that old 1.0 bug that was causing us to DC like all the time which just put even more strain on the login server because people were forced to keep hopping back in line. Personally, I plan to spend the entire first day leveling Pictomancer to really learn how it plays and to see if I want to actually take it through the expansion. I'll probably unlike Viper as well but I plan to level it afterwards unless I have a ton of extra XP to burn. My new expansion experience has always been that I don't need the roulettes for my story job as it'll get enough XP by just doing the MSQ plus some FATES along with the way paired with some sidequests that I typically grab in the first few areas. If I'm not in the mood for sidequests then worse come to worse I can simply run the leveling dungeon a second time and that ends up being plenty of XP which allows me to funnel my daily roulettes to whatever other job I'm leveling. I assume they're going to have role quests once again so I WILL need to level 1 job of each role anyway.

Praetorium is not 30 minutes. It's honestly not much longer than most dungeon runs, it just feels longer because of the cutscenes. But on the bright side, you can get a duty with a bad party in levelling roulette where mistakes and wipes can easily stack up to waste your time. That cannot happen in the Praetorium :D

Me just starting Shadowbringers MSQ.... all my jobs are 72ish though. I'll be enjoying Endwalker with my 'Path to 90' buff. I just grind duty support. Twice per job gets them to the next. Some don't need them because they go through the roulettes.

I would like to point at side quests do not give a lot of xp... they actually give a very small amount compared to others. So it may not be worth it.... a lot of people this won't affect because they've already done side quests from leveling in the past.... also along side the Matanga Tribe Quests, do Pixie Side quests as well. Have them unlocked. Because all 3 daily quests for Pixies = to 1 daily for the matanga even at a higher level. So it will be like you have 4 Matanga quests instead of 3. I think they give like 386k xp each even after 80. So while it does get less useful as you get to 85, that is still a free 1m xp in like 5 minutes of work.

I plan to main Viper. I mained Ninja to Level 80, then swapped to Samurai, then Reaper, but Viper is what I always wanted as a Dual Blades main in Monster Hunter. I'm gonna be so far behind everyone in my FC since I am gonna focus on leveling that up and then also have to work the entire weekend. Sadness... But at least everyone can help me with trials and dungeons.

The hype for the new jobs is real and my hype for earning tons of gil with materia as someone who isn't around for that long. Lost my sprout icon 4 weeks ago and had to 1-90 all crafters + whm in 2 weeks. phew... was tough but "you are an addicted" achievement complete ;-) Im ready 🙂

well if you sub can join groups faster and use the market and if you know your going to sub up anyways might as well take advantage of the end of expansion markets now before everyone buys all the leveling stuff

one thing i should point out is with Dawntrail , paid players will be getting priority in the login queue so if you are on the free trial it may be harder to log in during expansion launch time

I just did a huge cleanup of my inventory. Anything that was worth less than 50k gil I threw on the marketboard. I can always buy it again if I really need it. No point in a 5k gil item taking up space in my saddlebag

For the sidequests don't pick up 30! as you need space for MSQ and the Job quest

Total aside from leveling-related strats, but try and save up 2-4k Trophy Crystals from PvP to buy some VPR/PCT frames and weapons!

Sage and scholar leveling speeds will be ungodly with these qs. I'm so excited to have them all capped on passive roul times while walking from place to place. Tank ques probably won't be as good so I'll go paladin for actually clearing the story
