The Eureka community was so so great. There was always natural grouping going on and others who chill in the zone helping out anyone they can. Super thankful for the BA organizers as well. So much fun overall!

Yeah I loved making my way through the zones. Everyone relying on each other because of the mechanics of the zone and monster is really cool. I genuinely looked forward to getting back home and jumping into eureka like I was a kid again. Bozja was like a watered down version of Eureka, it felt like more of a grind than a community achievement. Really hope they make another Eureka with all of its complexities and varied landscapes.

Eureka's overworld beats Bozja hands down and the magia board is super cool (which Pint didn't even give a fuck about in this video which is sad), but outside of like a very small handful of NMs (that often get instapulled/leeched due to rare drops which also sucks due to their multi-hr cooldowns) you can legit just ignore any and all the mechanics in them and that just feels boring as hell vs Bozja's CEs and duels. Being able to switch classes outside of camp is also nice in Bozja lol. Also BA is amazing but you NEED a discord party to run it an then it becomes piss easy (and it's still a long slog). There is no in-between. I prefer the chaos of public CLL and Dalraida runs. You want a tough fight? Do DRS. Want midcore difficulty above CLL or Dal? Do regular DR. Also Eureka's holster system is just dogshit vs Bozja's holster system (frags are much more of a pain to grind for, have a much larger drawpool making it much more annoying to obtain the action you want, and can fucking just not work for stronger higher tier actions because fuck you we want to artificially make the grind longer). It's obvious they took feedback about all the issues with Eureka's version and put it into Bozja's and the result is great, but still wish they retroactively applied it to Eureka. Oh and once again, Pint didn't give a fuck about any of those cool high end NMs. Or how to level efficiently solo (I solo leveled Eureka to max too in just a few hours, wonder how much time Pint wasted doing that). Or how to do any mechanics. Didn't even acknowledge bunny fates existed. Or even grind any of the Eureka relics. He just wanted to get his mount and dip. I respect the hustle, but still disappointed by how little he ACTUALLY cared about Eureka (and even dunked on people who play Eureka regularly but still had to admit he got carried by them in the end lol). It's pretty easy to tell when Pint cares about the content of his videos. And this one was pretty obvious to see he gave zero shits about Eureka. I doubt he'll ever come back to it unless his viewers literally bully him into going back there lol.

​@@whisperingshadowXIsome systems did improve from eureka to bozja, but overall it was a huge downgrade in my opinion. Eureka needs a community to work together, which is peak content for mmos. Bozja in comparison is just way too lonely. Its like just having more roulettes and random fates on the map to get rewards. I like the permanent buffs that you can work for, the special inventory that replaces the logos actions, but the content is just worse compared to eureka. DR and DRS is cool similarly to BA, but the reward doesnt feel similarly good. In my opinion its also worse since its a completely separate instance.

the mystery and puzzles of BA were so fun to figure out on release. The secret portals, the separate - double bosses. The outside fate? The community figuring that stuff out was awesome.

Tbh noone will care in a dungeon or normal raid if u need to afk to take care of ur kids for a sec. And since the main content of FFXIV is single player this game would suit you well

I done BA with you a long time ago, and had a blast. probably been over a year by now and yes Ozma mount is best mount. I hope we get something similiar in the new expansion, right now i'm looking forward to the 11 raid in 14. Since 11 was where I spend most of my teenage life, make the memories come flooding back.

i tried to get into eureka a few times, but every time the instance was almost empty, so the few bosses that did spawn were way above me, and solo grinding mobs for the challenge log was just so boring

The reason why I skipped Eureka was because it was almost like FF11 online during the early 2000s. I have played it for 8 years and I swore to myself not to put myself in that type of environment again. And yes, I was among those that defeated Absolute Virtue in FF11.

It's actually not too bad. The "feel" is similar but you can very easily get through Eureka with very casual play by following a guide.

I tried Eureka, I didn't like it. I didn't even get to Zone 2 (almost though), because I didn't like Zone 1. Hearing Zone 2 and 3 being worse really just put me off from even bothering to go further. It honestly just felt like a grind, nothing more, nothing less, just a grind.

When I went into Eureka & I had a horrible time! No one helped at all! I hated the mechanics! I wish I could do BA but I know I'll never be able too! This was the only content that the FFXIV community did not help even if it was with advice! I hated Bozja too because of the same reasons!

I miss when streamers like Zepla weren't "part of the community" and more like commentators on the sidelines of the game. The hegemony of streamers who play this game has a lot of bias and self-censoring to "not offend" the cult-like mentality of these types of groups which ends up creating an echo chamber of closed information and entertainment.
