Thanks for putting up this game. I can hardly wait until Compass Games publish the 2nd printing. Was great fun watching your mission playthrough. Yep, rain and strong winds can make your mission really difficult. May I share a bit of historical info as a little give back for your effort (unless you know already): 1) There is an interesting background if one rolls before lift-off resulting in taking a passenger along being Peter Strasser, the Commander in Chief of the German Naval Airship operations. As rule 9.3 mentions that if Strasser is killed or severely wounded during the mission, the mission counts as failed. In real life Strasser pushed for strategic bombing strikes which resulted in high casualty rates of airships and crew members. Ironically Strasser himself became a vicim of his own ideology, being killed during a bombing raid. 2) As a matter of interesrt, in ther year 1915 the Zeppelins flew 350 scouting missions, and only 38 (!) bombing/attack missions. Wow, some great info there, thank you. I guess the majority of those scouting missions would be over the North Sea providing fleet intelligence? Such cutting edge tech back in those days and very skilled crews!

@@soloboardgaming was just wondering how hard was it for them to keep the ship's crewed once someone made the first voyage across and back...or was espirit de corps Not something they had to worry about?

@@charleslatora5750 Interesting question. These were Imperial Navy guys with an immense discipline and sense of duty. Peter Strasser, head of the Airships Division, did always have difficulty funding the growth of his service in both men and material. Priority was always given to the surface fleet and eventually, the fixed wing bombers. But heck, so many crew perished and even if they survived, the conditions were really hostile. Think I'd take my chances almost anywhere else rather than risk plunging from 10,000 feet without a chute!

As a french it was pretty difficulte for me to find info about the game, I bought it several years ago, translate the rule book myself but your video is so much more easy to understand !! Thanks for your gameplay it was instructive, you may have already respond to this question in your previous videos : are the cards you are using in game or did you make theme ? I am asking because they are not into my box ! Cheers

I think you missed a DRM on the encounter with the Short 184. There's a DRM at the bottom of the chart for Short 184, -1. Good video!

Hey great to hear from you again, thanks for popping over! You are correct I did miss the -1 DRM which would have given a very dfferent result. But I also mssed the +1 DRM for having an engine out! Just didn't 'see' the DRMs at all but, as luck would have it, the result would still have been a 6 :) Phew! I was correct by accident not design :)
